And since we're not limiting ourselves to just one, I would like the Dimend Scaasi setting that I fell in love with a few weeks ago with a lovely cushion. Maybe even a canary center!

Hmmm... a friend of our pointed out at dinner last night that my 40th birthday is only 4-1/2 years away... Maybe now is a good time to start gathering ideas!

hehe there are a few threads out there, ''if you were rich''...i also started one in 2004(!) called ''your dream custom ring'' and i know there are others but i got too lazy to continue to look. also recently someone in hangout did a thread on your top 3 rings if you could have anything kind of thing.

interesting though because i wonder if my stuff has changed from a few years ago.... i will have to think on it!

oh but this is one that forever and ever i will be drooling over and would buy tomorrow if i won the lotto...a 5.55c cartier asscher from 1922 on nelsonrarities.com. LOVE IT.

A 1.3ct G, VS1 EX/EX (or as EX as it can get) cushion brilliant in a Ritani Endless Love halo setting (also modified to make the band wider, keep the halo the same!). If I were to go larger, this would probably be about as big as I'd be comfortable going.

Diamondseeker, thank you for posting that bigger picture -- for the life of me I couldn't figure it out.

The one I actually saw in Dimend Scaasi's showroom was ever-so-slightly different. It had graduated stones up the side toward the halo and it was even more beautiful than this one (if you can belive it!).

I found the if I were rich thread... had an amazing 3+ carat hexagon cut bue diamond solitare to die for... but had computer issues and lost it... tried the top 3 thing... got lazy... stopped. LOL.

It is a stunning ring.

I was briefly enamoured with the petite lace from Micheal B (until I saw it in person and hated the head)... and am now really grooving the WF champagne (the one for the princess. I like it better). I was loving that blasted Micheal B so much so that I was considering having a copy with a completely different head like this Ritani head- only without the pave and with claw prongs.

But then I changed my mind when I saw a halo like the one I'm getting now in a DC jeweler window and fell absolutely, irrevocably in love with how BIG it made the asscher in it look. And I've been thinking about it since. So, while yes, you are a bit fixated. I TOTALLY understand.

I think I'd put an asscher in that one that Gypsy just enlarged. It would be possibly a little over the top of my bling scale, but I still think that is a beautiful halo.

I'd like to see the Tiffany split prong setting as well. Dimend Scaasi has a similar setting to that as well. But it is a pain looking at settings online and not be able to try them on! It is hard to know what a picture looks like on your hand!

Gypsy, where did you find that Tiffany ring? I have not seen it on their website.

Oh I WISH I had more views of this ring, becuase face-up is the least impressive. This Tiffany ribbon ring looks amazing from all angles.
Actually it''s not THAT expensive, if you are talking about money being no object. I''d be happy with a $15k version of this.
But this is only one of my favorites.

Mara - That is such a beautiful ring! I love it! I would love a Royal Asscher Cut maybe at 2 carats or 2.5 carats max, with a very thin band maybe at 1.7 mm with pave diamonds all the way around.

Nicole DOES have a pink sapphire stone- that 3 stone EC was her OTHER E-RING. Must be nice, HUH???
