Happy holidays everyone!

Since we are coming to the close of the year, I thought it would be fun to review our damage for the year. (I really need to remember what I have before I buy more.) Year of earrings and watches. Looking forward to seeing others’…

I will do this but I’m afraid to look! I don’t have everything on me right now because of travel but I will be sure to try and do this soon. And I’m commenting so I can follow this thread as well.

This year brought upgraded ACA earrings - 2.29 tcw G VS2 and a new ACA pendant - 1.83 tcw G VS2 made by Whiteflash. Daily wears and I love them every day! It was a good year!

Nothing except for one pair of lab/MMD cluster earrings from Ouros and paid off custom gem projects with Jeff W that I commissioned in 2020.

I had a package with gems I intended to set this year that was stuck in the postal systems for nearly 7 months, hence the quiet year.

A stunning classic collection. :kiss2:
I didn't buy bling this year (not anything significant) but I am in the process of passing my jewelry down to my loved ones.
Pieces I don't wear that I think they will enjoy wearing.
To that end I am starting my sister's bling collection as all she really has is her Tiffany diamond ER, band and a few pairs of modest earrings.

We just gave her my most blingy diamond hoops. Sassy and sweet. And happily she loves them!
I told her if I give her anything she won't wear and love to let me know as I have plenty of selection to choose from and want her to love what we give her.

The pandemic has touched everything. So sorry for that your gems were out of reach for 7 months. Hope that you can get the ball rolling with more projects in 2022.

Love that @missy. Your dear sis looks great and so happy with those fabulous hoops. Awesome idea to pass them on now so she can immediately start enjoying them. No time like the present.

It did not end well. Ordered a pair of earrings, checked if I would get them in time for Christmas and was told yes, so I thought they were ready to ship and placed my order.

They were eventually shipped on 21 December and I was informed I would get them by the end of the year.

Tracking still says shipment information received on 21 December to this day.

Not holding my breath that they will arrive before the year is out, however, they are not urgent so I can wait.

DK :))

I didn’t buy anything new except for a pair of polki earrings, but I did get a move on with some projects that have been on hold: converting a pendant into a ring, turning an unset 1.25ish ct stone into a pendant, and designed my e-ring (which unfortunately still isn’t ready yet, but hopefully will be soon, might slip into 2022)!

in reviewing my purchases, I guess I bought more than I thought.:o Mostly necklaces and earrings ( wanted small bezel set studs in white, yellow and rose). A final setting for my AVC after finding the side stones and a two stone bypass ring. Not a great group photo but here they are all piled together.

A little embarrassed because this isn’t even all of it :oops2: I bought some smaller items over the year, mostly silver. These are the big ones though:

Ring finger: Distinctive Gem lab diamond solitaire.

Middle finger: Garrard diamond solitaire, Zina Micro pave diamond eternity, single cut diamond eternity, Champagne OEC diamond wedding set.

Pointer finger: David Klass old mine cut diamond ring with engraved halo.

Lovely collection! You officially have more steel (?) Rolexes than the last AD I visited over TG!

The big question is what is behind the heart that you changed your mind about sharing with us... :cool2:

Thank you. LOL. I agree. The Rolex shortage is quite ridiculous. You’re observant. It’s just my 3 stone. Didn’t want to count that as 2021 since I bought the center stone in 2020 and finished the 3 setting in 2021.

Thanks for sharing. Your rings are all lovely. Isn’t it funny how you don’t realize how much you’ve acquired until you put everything into one place and you go “wow…”. ;-)

Here we go! I am including the rose gold watch that was from December 2020 because it set the stage for a rose gold Juste un Clou ring and a rose gold sweet Alhambra bracelet to make a rose gold "set."
Also from just a few weeks ago a new marquise ring (which I have to bring back ot get it looked at because it's rattling) and a matching band.
Looking forward to 2022!
P.S. LLJsmom.. you should definitely include your 3 stone ring in this year's haul.

What a great thread, @LLJsmom! Love seeing others' pieces from the year.

This year I did a small overhaul of my small collection. I sold several white metal pieces and bought rose gold pieces (Cartier two-tone watch, Tiffany infinity bangle, long Paloma Picasso pendant).

I'm already thinking about 2022...

That is a very comprehensive collection for just 2021! A significant ring, a day-date (so jelly) VCA, Cartier and a band. Loooooove…

Such lovely cohesive pieces that just are a wonderful match to your ering. I still love Paloma Picasso even after all these years. What are you thinking about for 2022?

Oh I just re-read this and realised I forgot to mention my EC studs! I bought small (0.8ctw) studs to use as travel/gym/discreet jewelry. Theyre a bit small for my ears but fine for when I’m travelling. I just mentally categorised them as “2020” since I didn’t buy anything last year.

Wonderful thread to reflect before the new year! :kiss2:

This year was the year I fell down the VCA slope...

Got the vintage grey MOP RG pendant in March, followed by vintage YG bracelet in May then vintage alternating Carnelian/RG bracelet in Sept.. and the Cartier JUC ring in Jul

No wonder hubs was starting to point out any clover-looking thing he sees in architectures/everyday objects to me!
