Would you keep this band?

I purchased this 2.5 mm knife edge band from JA to pair with my WF knife edge Ering. I didn’t want anything too thin that doesn’t look well when worn alone. WF softened my ERing, which looks gorgeous. However, the shank is thinner now than the JA band. Would you keep the 2.5 mm band or get the 2 mm band?Thanks!BBA349BD-FAEB-4D22-9BC7-454A2DDF4934.jpegC59BA885-A969-4C03-95BB-206B365675A2.jpegCBB0B386-16C8-4212-A920-7AF0DEA8D4BE.jpeg354ADA2C-79F8-43F0-873C-E5C8D245A992.jpeg00BE7348-2808-4AD2-8DF8-FBB4F0B29331.jpeg

Keep! It looks great alone and your diamond and mounting are large enough not to be overshadowed.

It there was something between 2.5-2 that might be better, but taking away 20% of the width would be too dainty IMO.

For me, I’d go for a 2mm, my preference would be for a more matched size, but it’s really what you prefer that matters.

it's very personal and what you are MOST comfortable with.

personally, ive seen some sets where the wedding band is thicker and it can look very good. i think you have a lovely set, at the moment.

but ...

an idea, is that you could order the 2mm or 2.25mm (if they have it) and compare with the 2.5, already in your possession, to help you to decide which you like the most... return the one you like the least

hope that helps ...

I'd get the thinner one but as others have said, it is really just personal preference.

I'd go smaller

I’d go thinner as well myself, especially if you are thinking of adding a band with stones as part of of a stack. It looks beautiful as is though and that diamond shines!

I’d also go with the thinner one.

With my thinner 14kt gold bands. I do want to get a platinum band to match the Ering. Can you mix gold with plat?5D8EE925-D3B8-453B-ADA7-B921DDCBDCD6.jpegDBF5BB3B-E787-41CE-B7BA-E4461C673AD4.jpeg

YES YES YES, of course you can mix metals!! its SO fun and easy. But it's not everyone's "cup of tea", so to speak. Some want to match. While others want to mix it up. Its so very very personal!!

to me, I ADORE mixing metals. its about what you are comfortable with ...

I would go with a thinner one as well

I like the one pictured. It looks great on its own too

This is my favorite combo. It's harmonious and beautiful together IMO.

I also like the diamond band pairing as a change on days you want a little more bling.

I don't love the knife edge band with your ER though. It's not a fluid pairing IMO.

I do mix gold with platinum and I haven't had any issues yet.

Thank you all. I have decided to return this band. I think it’s not so much the width that bothers me but the sharp edges compared to the softened shank on my Ering. I have been wearing it with the 2mm comfort fit gold band and it does look more harmonious. I just ordered a 2mm knife edge band to see if it looks better. If not, I’ll likely go with a 2-2.3mm comfort fit band. Thanks again.

Could Whiteflash make you a band that would match the shank of your ering? You have some lovely choices now but if you wanted it to match exactly, maybe they could create something for you?

I really like these two bands with your e-ring, especially the plain gold band.

That’s a good idea! Thank you! I ordered several bands to try out. If they don’t work, I might try that option!

I was about to ask. Why getting the band from JA? Definitely ask Whiteflash to get you a matching band since they made you the ERing. i believe they can offer you great options! good luck!

Any thoughts on this band? 2mm knife edge. A bit thinner than the Ering. The height seem to match. 5BFBDBFA-90CD-48DF-9762-D6871C615CE6.jpeg3BE8985B-1AF8-44CA-99C3-1383B184EDCA.jpegB53349A6-76CE-4C5E-A027-016F6D5E38A7.jpegFD15E8DA-1FB7-461C-ABB6-B8533B2E03CE.jpegD4F77D9D-1949-4BF3-9F04-5C9A28352650.jpeg4DE5407D-51C6-4FE7-8E3E-CEC6CA071F0A.jpeg1BFCCAF6-26BC-4131-9D19-AB7780B03ED0.jpeg

I like that it’s thinner, but think I like the look of the comfort (or rounded band) band or a diamond band better, like the pics @missy posted. The knife edge seems a lot sharper than your solitaire band. It would make a good spacer ring though to protect your claws if you were stacking. I have to say though in that second picture your ACA looks amazing and huge so it really does enhance your solitaire.

Thank you! I must say that I’m kinda liking this knife edge and how the height matches better than the comfort fit. It’s a different look. Too thin to wear alone but it does seem to enhance the solitaire.
