Would I be getting a fair deal on these diamonds?

All 3 are princess cuts.

1) 0.715ct, F, VS2, cut excellent, no fluorescence, rated right inbetween medium and high for all 3 of white light, color light, and sparkle: $3050
2) 0.7ct, D, VS2, polish and symmetry good, medium blue fluorescence, white light: high, color light: high, sparkle: medium-high: $3000
3) 0.75ct, E, VVS2, polish/symmetry good, no fluorescence, white light: just below medium, color light: medium, sparkle: just below medium: $3500

We need more info such as photos of the stones and ASET images if you can get them, also the proportions of each stone as a point of reference please.

Give me a few minutes and I will provide the GIA/AGS and GemEX certifications for each diamond.

p.s. did I post this in the wrong section?

lol...I just saw "diamond hangout" from the forum menu and I thought it meant that it was specifically for diamonds.

Nope, you''re in the right section. I''m sure someone with princess cut knowledge will be along shortly to give advice and opinions.

^^ the thread was just moved to this forum

I posted in diamond hangout initially by accident :)

Looking forward to everyones comments.

I''m not keen on relying on just Gemex, I prefer ASET pictures. That said, I''d pick any AGS0 princess cut stone since they have already been tested and graded based on their light performance. There''s just no way to tell with GIA certed stones unless you have your own ASET.

I emailed asking for ASET pictures and basically he said the ASET machine doesn''t show the actual light return and only the Brilliant Scope does. He went on to say that he does have an ASET scope at his store but it is not accurate in what we see to the eye.

Thoughts?

Some of the experts here seem to think ASET is of definite value concerning fancy shaped diamonds such as Princess. Here is a good thread which explains ASET, and I will try to find one on BrillianceScope so you can read up and decide which would be the best approach. Maybe you could nicely state that you are very interested to see both technologies in action and ask if you can use his ASET scope to check out the stones you are interested in.
