Hi, I'm new here and apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong spot. I am looking to get a new wedding band (well 2, to flank on either side of my E-ring). I have a cushion cut halo in white gold as seen below and am looking at pairing it with 2 Rose Gold round and baguette milgrain rings seen below. Do you think this mixture will work? I can't visualize it in my head. All of the bands that match my ring, just don't do it for me. Something about the matchy-matchy feels weird on my hand. Lastly, my ring is not on my hand in this picture becuase I am recovering from a pinky finger surgery. Thanks for your help.

I believe the combo may actually look stunning!!

Where is the band from? I’m doing a similar search for my ring.

The band is from James Allen. My engagement ring is from Christopher Designs

Can you find something similar at a local jeweler to try with your ring? I think you should see which bands you like ahead of time if you can. I am afraid two of those bands may be a bit too much but you won’t know unless you try various styles.

I’m not loving it

They are very thin, so one of them looks a little lonely. I tried a similar ring at a store but it was white gold.

I don't care for it (I'd prefer the diamonds to go all around the band) but I'm sure it will look fine.

I'm not loving it either. I think the milgrain with your non-milgrain ering is throwing it off for me. Perhaps a solid metal rose gold band (maybe with some
texture) might do it? Or a plain rose gold with a mat finish might look nice.
My Engagement ring has milgrain on the sides. I have a simple white gold wedding band, but it looks a little blah next to my ring. I just found this photo which looks like my ring. Would this work with rose gold? If I'm going to bring in rose gold, I think I want two rings to flank so it feels symmetric. rings.jpg

I like your last photo a lot. I love rose gold, but I am having a hard time envisioning it together. I believe (make sure you double check) that JA has a 30 day return window with no fees - only way to know for sure is to try them together.

P.S - are you sure that your ring allows enough clearance for the bands to sit flush against?

It seems like way too much going on for me. Also I find half-eternities to be annoying as they are always turned the wrong way.
I agree with others that something more plain wiill contrast with and enchance your ring.
That said, I do love, absolutely, the look of cdurant’s bands. I think because there is a regularity and simplicity to the design of the bands.
Another idea to try would be two thin bands with a fine twist.

Yes, I have clearance on my ring. Here is a similar halo with rose gold - this is what started me on this path. But I felt these bands were a bit overwhelming for me.rose.jpg

I like the band, which you posted, but I like only eternities, half eternities always spin on me. I would stack only one rose gold band, two may be too much.

I have a similar ish ring, in rose gold, that I will post a picture of, so you can see what you think. It’s with a yellow gold ring at the moment though. Looks like a similar band to the one in the first inspo photo you posted.

Here it is with the Rose gold James Allen bands. I'm on the fence, not sure I love it.

I can keep it for a bit before I decide. Just wondering if I'll miss the all white gold look.

So, I think it depends on your overall style. Do you like a thicker look on the finger? If so, I think it's a great combination. Do you usually wear a mix of metals for jewelry (especially rose gold)? If so, then that's another thumbs up. But, if you like a delicate look on your hand or mainly wear only white metal jewelry then I'd say you'll get tired of it.

With your ring being all white metal, have you considered doing perhaps one band with a mix of white and rose gold and one band of just rose gold, and both going under the ering? That should tie together nicely too as well as reduce the wider look.

Or maybe something like this, where the bands match the width/style of your ering setting?

i LOVE it! I'm not always into mixing but i really REALLY like how your set looks, the rose gold bands just accent your e-ring perfectly!

I like it, can we see it with one only? I think that the second one is not needed.

Thank you, so many good points to think about. I do wear rose gold jewelry. The thickness may be what's getting to me. I need to wear it around the house a bit. This is the matching ring to my ring, now I'm wondering I should just do this. Screen Shot 2018-02-01 at 10.39.01 AM.png

With one instead of two they feel disconnected.

I'm also drawn to this ring, not sure how it would work with my e-ring though.

This ring is more like the matchy one, not loving it though.

A wrap like this might give you the look you're going for - https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/61ZsCpPMPZL._UL1500_.jpg

A mixed metal band thin band could be very nice too - https://www.simongjewelry.com/wp-co...hite-diamonds-custom-wedding-band-600x600.png

Or, a wide single band for under the ering that has mixed metals - https://www.midwestjewellery.com/me...d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_0725087-ws2.jpg

Thank you for the ideas. I decided to return the rose gold rings, it felt too thick on my finger as I wore it through out the day. Thinking about getting the matching band to my ring and then maybe a very thin rose gold band to wear in between.

Ou,what if you started out with just a thin rose gold eternity, like the cheap (everything is relative) 1.5mm bands on etsy. It will be a bit of color, a bit more bling, and thin enough to not bug you? You could call it your gateway band... eventually moving up to stack till your knuckle!

Yes, I think that's what I've decided to do. I'm looking at these 3 rose gold rings in rose gold. I like the Bony Levy rings, just wondering if they would lie too flat against my hand compared to how my E-Ring sticks out a bit.

I love this look...adds a lot of interest.

I feel like the JA rings are just too heavy looking.
