Engagement ring is a 1.32c round.

For wedding band, we were considering a 7 or 9 diamond band each about 0.07 to 0.1 carats. My fiancee said she was afraid it would make her engagement ring look small (she's happy with her ER and doesn't think it is small).

Actually I like the blue nile build your own 5 stone ring. But those stones would be at least 0.3 carats each (x5). Would wearing this ring take away from the ER?

In my opinion, the answer is no. I think it just makes it look more blingy. I love pave.

I will say yes, every time I wear my diamond wedding band. My engegment diamont looks smaller.

My stone before a recut was exactly 1.32 and I sometimes wore it with a five stone that was a little over 1.5 tcw. I had my stone recut and it is now 1.2 set in a tiffany six prong knife edge and I wear it with a shared prong eternity with 7 pointers. I don't wear my new setting with my 5 stone because it seems a bit to big and bulkly with the knife edge, and I really prefer the five stone alone, for the most part, although before the reset I did like them together somes...I think that stones in the 3 to 4 point range look really nice with that size and I plan to get a bead set band with that size melee in the future. Here is a photo with the 1.2 and 7 pointers. They really are all just different looks and it depends on what appeals to your eye.

I think it just adds more sparkle...

My center stone is 1.29 and the setting is 1.48, my wedding band is a little over 3 ctw (sapphires and diamonds) and I don't think that it makes my center diamond look smaller at all, IMO.

I think the .30 ct stones would make the e-ring diamond look smaller, but the .07 ones would look great.
