Will a knife edge wedding band work with a 3 stone ring?

Tried to find this online but I couldn't find much. Just this pic and I totally love this look. I have a Tiffany 3mm platinum knife edge band and would maybe like to change my solitaire to a three stone, anyone who wears this type of ring with a knife edge band. Doesn't have to completely sit flush. Looking at this Blue Nile setting. I am in Europe so trying on in stores is a but more limited. I wear a 1.14 carat now and I have size 9 fingers so it looks really small. There is a pic included of my current ring. A 3 carat cz with 0,3 carat side stones and a pic I found online. I have now selected the 3 stone with a 1.5 center and 0.45 sides but I'm afraid it will be too dainty.

"Too dainty" is a relative term. I suggest you stop wearing your 3 carat CZ because anything is going to look small after
wearing that (unless you can afford a 3 stone close to that size).

You can play around with this tool. Unfortunately, it doesn't do 3 stones...only solitaires but you can do 1.5 compared with .45,
print out 2 copies, and cut and paste it together to see what a 3 stone in that size looks like on a size 9 finger. I do find that
defaulting the stone sizes on diamdb makes stones bigger than a well-cut stone should be so cut the edges in a little or enter
the actual stone sizes.
