I just started my search for a diamond ring and walked up/down 47th street (Diamond District in NYC). I had emailed a dealer I found online who normally doesn''t deal retail but they agreed to show my what they had. I think I will do business with them. Their prices seemed very fair. They were a very nice family in business for over 30 years. They have many contacts in terms of designers and jewelers. No store to visit - just an office in 580 5th Avenue where probably hundreds of other wholesalers do business. I have nothing tangible to offer you except to say I got good vibes from them.
