I really like Klobuchar. I wish she'd catch on a little more. I'd love to see her on a ticket with Stacey Abrams, but I'm not sure if the world is ready for that.

I like Klobuchar as well - I personally feel that she’s much too sensible for the majority of democrats and that’s why she’s not getting more of the vote. She’s not quite progressive enough for the Democratic Party. Just my opinion. Not meant as an argument.

The problem is: millenials, they want a change, the opposite change of Trumpski. They feel very very tied down with loans etc. I'm more rad, but Bernie has always turned me off, if one wants to be a democrat don't come around every 4 years and become one. meh. but I will vote for him if I have to. I'd like Schiff.

I'm not sure I agree that the party itself is particularly progressive--I think the big issue is that it doesn't know what it should be. Progressive or centrist, whether it's looking for swing voters or young voters or non-white voters. Whether it needs to provide change and new ideas or stability and calm.

My own opinion, for what it's worth (not much, I'm guessing) is that a candidate that is true to him or herself stands the best chance of success, and I think Klobuchar is definitely that. I'd like to see her on a ticket with Abrams, Schiff or Kamala Harris as attorney general, Steyer or Bloomberg at commerce (IMO, they do not belong in this race), etc. And I'd love to see Pete head up the DNC, which he tried for last time.

I don't have much time for Biden or Bernie, but would hold my nose and vote for either if it comes down to it. I like Warren a lot, but don't think she's a winning candidate. It's a little unfortunate for her that she seems to have been held to a higher standard in terms of articulating policy than the rest of them. I'd like to hear Bernie actually be pressed on specifics.

When I did a test to see who I matched with, even though I favor Warren, my ideology is closer to Yang, Klobuchar, and one other I can't remember. So I thought that was interesting. I also like Klobuchar. I was impressed with her demeanor during the Kavanagh hearings.

Glad to read your daughters are for Bernie!
I don't think so b/c they are willing to pay back their loans.

Bernie's math don't add up b/c 2 + 2 doesn't = 5. Here's the Q for the Bernie supporters. After Bernie robbs all the billionaires (still nowhere near the $60 trillion needed for his socialist policies) you know who will be next? ...the answer is the "middle class!"

They can? that's great. But not everyone can, not everyone has a Dad backing them up, or husband's. Look, I don't think there is anyone who doesn't want to pay back their loans, but there are many people who can't..

one cannot say that under Herr Trumpski that a lot of high paying jobs have appeared, nail salon work.. But yet our rich grow richer. Bernie. 2020

What do you mean Standing up to Socialists. There's not one socialist in this bunch, this is a BS term bandied about by Faux News. So do you think if this country went totally socialist (which it never will) that no one would eat out at restaurants? This good ME republicanism is getting old.

The problem is not so much that our country is sharply divided Republicans vs Democrats, but that the Democratic party is itself divided. Those on the left love Bernie, he scares those on the right who support Buttigieg. And the problem is that some of those voters won't vote if their preferred candidate doesnt win, and we desperately need those votes. I really wanted a centrist candidate to win the nomination. Biden is out now. Klobachar is a weak possibility, as is Warren. As usual I feel that the female candidates are held to a higher standard than men.

As for me, I always vote and I'll vote for anyone but Trump. His stink has now permeated the Justice Dept. Its scary, and I'm afraid this country is going to be permanently altered as a result of this man's lies and illegal actions.

My daughters are not rich by any means, but they are paying off their car loans and mortgages, it is their responsibility to do so. I wish the left would stop making excuses for those who don't have high paying jobs. I know many Chinese restaurant workers whom are paying off their loans. You borrowed the money you pay it back.

Of course people would still dine out. I'd dine out 3X a week for dinner and lunch everyday, but instead of dining out 3X a week I'll probably cut back to twice a week, and as business starts to slow down guess what the restaurant owners will do?

$15 min. per hour sounds great, but business owners have no other choices other than to start laying off some of their employees.

$15 an hour across the country is not great in those communities that cannot afford it. Businesses would close and there would be far fewer jobs. A lower paying job is better than no job. Individual states are perfectly able to raise their minimum wage if they choose, no one is stopping them.

Just donated money to Klobuchar. Only candidate this presidential contest I've donated to. Don't get me wrong, Warren will always have a soft spot in my heart because of her sensible and caring personal finance books. But I think Klobuchar can be the President that heals this country.

Of course its their responsibility, but what if they missed a payment? nursing went down the tubes.. robotic nursing, income loss, mortgage high.. would you bail them out? sure you would. I know many people paying off loans, it has zero to do with Chinese or Hindu, or anyone. We all pay it back unless we can't. Then something has to be done, helping is a good thing. You came here for opportunity, I was told from birth that I could do anything, I would make more than my parents, that I was smart etc.. I was sold that bill of dreams, I was hoping the same for my sons.. If kids cannot pay back their loans then we should help them.

Why? why cant the business owner cut back on their profit to keep everyone afloat.

@Tekate - The rich grow richer, probably because they’re educated, and know how to make the money work for them. Save and work hard while you’re young. This is what we are teaching our children to do. And pay your debt. And yes, Bernie has branded himself as a socialist.

It takes a lot of risk and sacrifice to be a business owner. That’s what capitalism is about. Those of us who sacrifice and take risks don’t necessarily owe anything to those who are not willing to do so. Just sayin..........

What kind of profit margin do you think most small businesses are working on anyway? Small businesses in small towns are the ones that would be hurt most by the $15 an hour min. wage. We're not talking about Amazon or Walmart. You seem to be making the business owner the bad guy who owes everyone despite the risk and capital outlay they are making. Some jobs aren't $15 an hour jobs either.

My point exactly. We run a small company and employ 25++ people. And let me tell you, it took a lot of hard work, sacrifice and true grit to build this. I am now in my late 50’s and can finally enjoy all of the hard work and sacrifice and certainly don’t owe it to those who did not do the same. We started with nothing. Saved, did not take extravagant vacations and made our savings work for us. Capitalism and the American way. And because we have extra income, we pump more into the economy.
