Im wondering if anyone is able to help me with photos of their Whiteflash XProng tennis bracelet.
I'm a bit torn with whether to go with the three prong or the xprong.
I'm looking at the 4ct bracelets and can't decide if I should go for the three prong with 47 slightly larger diamonds or the xprong with 56 diamonds but mounted closer together with I'm guessing less metal between them.

Does anyone have any photos or advice?
I'm buying from Sydney so ordering and returning is a bit of a pain, so I'm hoping to get it right first go.

:wavey:

I just did a quick search in the Show Me the Bling section, and there are plenty of threads on WF diamond bracelets. You can browse through them as some will have the three prong and one may have x prong. If I were ordering one for myself, I'd have them order a 4 prong basket setting because I think it might sit lower than the x prong and I prefer 4 prongs.

Thanks so much for taking the time to track down those links Diamondseeker2006.

I spent hours trying to search from my iPad the other night and came up with some of the threads but hadn't seen the one with Noobies Xprong. Good searching!

I'll try to get my thoughts to make sense....but sorry I've been awake aaallllll night with my little munchkins.
I think you have nailed my dilemma, it's the height of the xprong that has me a little unsure.
Whilst I love the look of the three prongs Im not super sure about the space between the diamonds. The 4ct xprong bracelet would obviously have the 56 diamonds spaced closer together in a more continued line of sparkle.
The upside of the three prong is that for a 4ct of the same length the 47 individual diamonds would be marginally larger.....would this make up for the fact that they don't sit as close together??

I'm going to contact whiteflash about your suggestion of a more traditional 4prong style but I'm guessing that this would make it a custom job and therefore not returnable/exchangeable.
Because of the distance I'd really like to get this right first go but sight unseen, non returnable custom jobs from the other side of the world are always scary.... that's never stopped me before, all the great photos on PS have a way of making me braver!

Also, is anyone able to shed some light on the visual difference between hand made and machine made settings/connections?
I've heard this mentioned in a couple of bracelet threads but haven't worked out the difference yet.

I've been looking at different styles here in Sydney, but even the high end jewellers don't seem to be able to match WF's ACA quality, usually offering H SI1/SI2 diamonds and when offering diamonds of higher colour and clarity are usually more than double the price.

I have the 6-ctw version of the 3-prong tennis bracelet. I also considered X-prong and 4-prong, but decided on the 3-prong. I am pleased with my choice. Reasons are 1. I perfer larger size diamonds for the same money ((bigger diamonds worth more). 2. The 3-prong setting is pretty safe and durable. 3. Diamonds in the 3-prong are placed slightly further apart, so the individual diamonds are more distinct and appear larger. My only regret is that I did not get additional bracelets of 3-ctw and 8-10 ctw when the price back then was less. Prices will continue to increase, and tennis bracelets are timeless. Therefore, get them while you can afford to do so.

You can take a poll of which setting is the most popular and ask why. Bet you can get more responses as most people would vote but not post a reply.

Oh I wish that I had thought about this purchase last year. Our exchange rate is in a terrible position now compared to this time last year as well, although buying from whiteflash or one of the other respected online vendors is still nearly half the price of those I have seen here in Sydney.

Thanks for your feedback. I hadn't seen your thread before but the photo of your bracelet is gorgeous.
The 6ct is stunning and I'm sure that I'd just love one of those as well, but my 'dressed up, going out' jewellery is the same as my 'popping next door for a coffee' jewellery so at this stage I think that the 4ct would be just enough.....although if prodded I could probably rethink that. :naughty:

I'm waiting to hear back from Whiteflash as to whether they could do a standard four prong, and what the height difference was between them.

Ohhh the dilemma :loopy:

When I bought a diamond bracelet for my wife a few years ago, I ended up buying from BGD although I did shop it at WF.
Worked with Leslie and very pleased with the purchase. It is approx 4ct total weight, 3 prong setting.
Good luck.

Thanks Willydiamond, it was some of the photos of your wife's bracelet that started my 'need' for one.
I had originally decided on the 3ct, but your thread about it made me reconsider :naughty:
