My first set of CADs are in. The designer took some creative leeway and changed one of the three things I specifically asked for but they are going to make the changes and send me a new set of CADs asap. I requested that my ring end on the sides with a smooth polished finish blending into the last stone. The designer made the side swoop outwards. I''m going to try to attach a copy of Lynn B''s first WF shared prong band that I sent them to duplicate. (I hope you don''t mind Lynn! but I loved the shape of your original WF ring) Other than that, the ring is perfect for me. They left the gallery open (a la Tiffany''s shared prong bands) but they scalloped the bottom, which I think is very pretty and feminine.

I received the final photos of my ring this afternoon. Somehow between the design process and now, I wound up with a "lip" on the outsides of each of the last stones. I''ve asked them to take more pictures for me and to have someone with a size 6 ring finger at WF try it on for me to tell me if they feel that ridge. I''ll find out more tomorrow but in the meantime, let me know what you all think..... I really don''t know how I feel about those outside borders. I''m not going to think about it for now and see how I feel when I look at it in the morning.

I see what you mean. Did they say why they just couldn''t finish it off with no lip? You probably don''t like so much metal after the last stone. I wonder if it has something to do with the hugeness of those gorgeous stones!! Honestly I''d keep working until you are 100% happy.

I think it will be amazing, and I bet that when it is on you won''t even see that, but if you don''t like it then ask them to fix it... you should jump all over with joy for your ring, and I''m sure they can help make it right!

I honestly think it looks just gorgeous the way it is, but it would bug me too that the one design element that I asked to be changed from the start, was overlooked. If you're not 100% happy with it when you see it, definitely send it back. Looking through the CADs, it doesn't look (to me, and I'm no expert) like that lip was ever changed at all. Anyway, still stunning, and if it were me I'd have a hard time sending it back.

I only noticed the lip because of the circle-but I agree, it doesn''t look as though it''s changed. Can it be decreased without compromising the integrity of the setting? That may be why it is still apparent.

I''m no expert or anything, but the more I look at it the more I htink that the lip is there for your comfort... I think that the indent-type place is for your fingers one either side of your ring to rest in, so the shank isn''t too think... anywyas, can''t wait to see pics and see if you loooove it! If not they will fix it I am sure!

I''m really anxious to see what the ring looks like on someone''s hand. I''m thinking maybe that lip won''t be as prominent in a real life photo as it is on the WF photos (where everything looks as big as a bread box!) Maybe it''s more exaggerated (?) in the WF photos? We''ll see. Still, I was surprised to see that feature on the final product. The designer did say early on that they had to leave more metal on the outsides to protect each of those end stones.....

When I get the additional photos, I''ll post them. Stay tuned...
