All,
I want to share this ring out of gratitude to Whiteflash and to this forum. It's been quite a journey for me. I started with a 3.3 D MRB non ACA solitaire that WF helped me find but ultimately it did not feel right (too big {gasp}, and not mind clean). I then got this 2.187 stone set in a solitaire and while it was clearly beautiful, it left me cold. In fact, I've been following a recent thread about ring ambivalence and second guessing, and I went through a similar roller coaster. I was ready to abandon the project, but my husband knew this was important to me. He helped me figure out that it wasn't just about the stone, but having some personal significance would be important to me, and so I landed on a three stone. We are a small family of three who have been through a lot in the past, our present is challenging but wonderful, and our future is bright. I put this ring on my finger and it felt like it was home. This is to celebrate 22 years with my best friend, 17 married to him, and our perfect almost 10 year old.
Thanks to you all as I read millions of posts about stones and settings before I landed on this beauty created by @yssie and shared by many others @Siamese Kitty @soxfan @Lvoeshinythings . Thanks to Whiteflash who held my hand along the way. Liza endured dozens of emails to get me over the finish line. When I expressed doubts due to recent negative posts about WF, she shared my concern with @Texas Leaguer who reached out personally to me and had the team go above and beyond (though I suspect they would have done it anyway). I cannot speak highly enough about them and their product.
Center: 2.187 F VVS2 ACA 8.3 mm
Sides: 0.34 F VS1 ACA 4.47 mm x 2
Setting: their stock platinum, no modifications, asked for fine prongs and double check they lay flat so they don't catch on stuff.
Size: 6 knuckle, 5.5 finger (have to love arthritis); excuse the hands, I work in an ED.
Photos: Did my best to Pricescope it up, but I'm using an old phone and I have limited talent; I had to borrow flowers and pumpkins from neighbors.
