Which way to go for earrings?

I am considering my first pair of diamond earrings and need help.

My goals are to get great cut and great color and leverage a vendor with an upgrade policy for the future. I do not want a simple setting. I'll get more wear with the earrings if I have a delicate halo around them. I just want to look at them and smile. My work life is one where I am in meetings throughout the day and, will see these quite often as we do virtual meetings.

My budget is about 3k for the diamonds.I was setting aside funds for high end watch, but am wondering if I should just go for the largest studs I can find for the halos and start a new fund for a watch later. For the right diamonds, I could increase my budget to ~4k

I'm a big fan of HPD and would love to source the diamonds from them but am open to suggestions.

Option 3 I am also thinking about could likely go to a larger size in HPD. I wouldn't go larger than .50 each because the halos will make them large enough for me and I think beyond that I am out of budget.

If you are willing to go to 4k, I'd consider something like this - plus you would always have the upgrade policy if you cared to use it -

I think H is a great color for earrings - don't think I'd even consider D or E color for earrings because these would be very white on the ears.

I like the pair MissGotRocks listed if you want to go for branded stones. I would do those stones in a simple 3 or 4 prong martini & buy a pair of earring jackets ( 3pt's) from IDJ. Those stones will fit in the jackets made for 5mm stones. The jackets are around $890-900 new in 14K white gold settings (Adwar Castings).
There are a ton of threads on the jackets on PS. They are adorable.
