Which style do you prefer for a 2.5ct stone?

2.5 ct round vs 2.5 ct antique cushion - both set in a halo. Which would you prefer and why?

Hi Samara

I prefer the round in a cushion halo, but of the choices, I would do the round -- simply for spread, since rounds face up larger than cushions... and I prefer the faceting in rounds.

If cushion, are you interested in chunky or crushed ice cushions?

Both are very pretty, it's just a personal preference.

I don't think I've ever seen a round in a cushion halo - do you have an image? I'm curious how this looks!

The spread is the one issue I have with the cushion - I know the round will look better, which might be enough to push me over the edge and go with round.

I like both. Perhaps a slight preference for a cushion as it is so special.

I like the cushion better. Maybe it's because a round diamond with a halo (also of round diamonds) looks redundant. The squarish cut of the cushion deftly complements the round shapes of the small diamonds surrounding it. Does that make sense?
