Dont ask how I know, when you travel for long periods of time, any English speaking television seems like great TV...Anyway, that dude is sporting a rad mullet isn''t he? BECG...I love the simple, classic lines of the first dress. I do think the pick-ups will look very dated later on in life, and I also think you could garner a similar effect with the bustle on the first dress.

Oooh, number 1 all the way! It''s so gorgeous, owing in great part to its simplicity and fantastic lines. The poof of dress 2 just fights everything that I love about dress 1. Oh, and the back of 1 reminds me quite a bit of MY dress.

Thankfully I''ve never been a fan of pickup skirts, since I''ll never ever be able to look at one again w/o thinking of funeral homes.

I do want to add, though, that is sounds like YOU prefer the first one - which is all that really matters. . .

Maybe explore the bustling option that others have suggested? Both dresses in one!

My mom''s dress looked just like the 90''s bride Barbie and she always "jokes" about me wearing it. You''ve got to be kidding me, mom.

I agree with what others said about going with the classic. You can''t go wrong with it and you will look back and think how gorgeous it was...even 50 years from now. I am happy with my choice as well. It''s pretty classic and I will never look back and regret wearing it. And I won''t laugh either!

This has to be the BEST wedding dress thread I have ever seen.....

The 80''s flashback is too funny.... I cannot WAIT to show my FI this once we are married.... he''ll love it !!!

Soooo, it NUMBER ONE looks like the WINNER !!!!!!!

Unfortunately I bought DRESS NUMBER TWO !!!!!!!!

However, have been in love with Dress number ONE since the moment I put it on.. I should have just went with my heart, but I didn''t, so here i am, faced with an ass draped in coffin lining...

Maybe my dear FI could grow a RAD MULLET by the wedding date....

On a more serious note.... yeah right!!!!....

I did call Justina McCaffrey and I am going on Saturday with my sister to make my FINAL decision..

Thankfully production had not started on COFFIN ASS, so I still have the option of changing styles.

The girls there have been so patient with me and so understanding... It is the back of number one that i absolutely love and adore.. The way the fabric drapes in the front and gathers in the back literally takes my breath away.

The moment i put it on, I was a BALL OF TEARS and have benn fighting it ever since.... not sure why really, well, in truth, I wanted to stay away from the "Classic Strapless Gown"..

I wanted something different... something that would stand out.. something that would make my FI go "WOW"....

I''ve realized I need to go with my heart and chose the dress that makes ME go "WOW"....

I like both dresses alot, so I really dont think you could go wrong with either!!!

For what its worth, I wore a Justina McCaffrey dress (with pickups in the skirt) on my wedding day. I think it was GORGEOUS....it wasn't outdated at all. If done right, pickups are beautiful...and I do believe the style will be around for a long time. JM is a very high end designer, so they know how to do it right- I dont think you have to worry about looking at your wedding photos in 20 yrs and thinking you look like a fashion disaster!

And, I do not agree with the back of dress # 2 looking like "coffin lining" - as someone put it. Dress # 2 actually looks alot like my dress....its just gorgeous! Make the decision based on what YOU like, not what others like, b/c everybody has different tastes and ideas of what looks good.....

Hey BECG! Sorry for beign late to chime in. You know I love your wedding dress sagas. DEFINITELY #1 for me too - however I''m not sure how this happened? I thought you had picked #1 two dress threads ago? The one where I suggested the Verona II and you came out sooo excited about number 1!! What happened?

Anyways - no matter what, you will be gorgeous!! Even ify ou have a coffin ass.

I''m not a pick up girl, so that sways me, however, I do find that number 2 at least doesn''t have pickups all over. So don''t worry if you end up with number 2!

Oh...and on a side note....stop looking at other dresses once you fall in love!!! While everyone says you need to find "the one" (in men and dresses) I do think that there are many out there that could be it. So once you find one that makes you cry and that you say things like:

"I ended up going with the one that as soon as I walked out in and saw myself I just wanted to dance in, run down the street SQUEALING, mow the lawn in, watch Dr.Phil in, cook a raost, make love in....

I mean, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this dress !!!!!!!!!

Anyways: bottom line: you are gorgeous and picking between two great dresses. My instinct says number 1, but you will make your FH cry in either.

October2008Bride, THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE LAST DRESS POST EVER !!!!!

Well, with the exception of Saturday''s of course...

The first dress, not diaper ass dress, the first, is the one waaaay back in December I loved, cried in, walked away from and have regretted....

It''s always been about this one and for some strange reason I''ve been fighting it.

I have seriously needed bridal therapy in the past few weeks. .thankfully wine flows a plenty !!!!

I didn''t want to be the "traditional" looking bride... so I thought....

I love everything about dress ONE.... EVERYTHING..

The cut, the lines, the front, the back, the inside, the outside...
