Hi girls ! I am a little torn between two dresses, both by the same designer and well, essentially both the SAME dress with slight differences.

However, it is the "slight differences" causing me stress !!!!!

I absolutely LOVE the cut and the style of both.

The first dress I''m attaching a pic of is the one I LOVED right away... totally fell in love...

The second dress is the "newer" version of the first...

The second dress is beautiful as well, and has more "fluff".

The front of the dresses are the same, but the back is different..

Please take a look and let me know which dress you like the most !!!

I like the back of the first one much better.

Have you tried them on? They can look very different on you.

I LOVE both of them, though, they''re quite beautiful. I don''t think you can go wrong!
 
They''re both really pretty but I think I like the second one better. I like the extra puffiness and I like the scrunchy kind of look on the back.
 
Oh, and I should add, one of these dresses IS my wedding dress !!!!!

I just have the option to switch if I want at this point...

So basically, I need your opnions... I know which one I am leaning towards, I just want your honest opinions as well...

I love both of them also, but the back of the 1st is my favorite.

ditto on the second one, the back is unusual and that makes it attractive.

however..........depends on what you suit.

First one, definitely!

Do you usually like pick-up style skirts? I feel like people usually fall on one side of the fence or the other when it comes to pick-up skirts.

I think the first one is more timeless and classic. Plus, you know you'll love it! (unless, of course, you can try on the second dress but it sounds like it's not feasible for you). You probably feel lke the dress decisions will never end, haha!

ETA: oops, sounds like it IS feasible for you! It's even more difficult when you love them both!
 
I''m all for the first one as I don''t like pick ups, I find them too trendy. i love the back of the first one too..it''s a really classic dress.
 
I''d say dress 1, I''m not a fan of pick ups.
 
I like number 1 better as well! I''m also not crazy about pick up skirts. I hope I chose the right one!

I like the pick-up skirt - it does a little extra flair.

I can see why you''re having such a hard choice though - they''re both beautiful.
 
if you go with number 1, couldn''t they bustle it for the reception to resemble number 2? then you''d kind of be getting both dresses! just a thought...they''re both lovely!
 
I like #1, but I''m not a big pick ups fan...I think it is the more "classic" dress

The pickup style is starting to be very ''dated'', so I lean toward the more classic styles (which #1 falls into).

So I guess of the two, I prefer the first.
 
Without a doubt, dress style #1. I am not a fan in any way of those pick up doohickies. And people have said it before, and I tend to agree, that pick ups will look dated in the not too distant future. I also think with that design, the pick ups in the back simply look too much like an after thought because the beauty of that dress - and it IS stunning - is in the draping, and pick ups are like the "anti draping" aren't they?! I really think that the first dress will look heart stopping on your bod. You seem to have the figure to pull it off and you'll look like a confection wrapped in silk, what could be bad about that? You also seem very "classic" in your styles, based on the ering you selected, so I'm thinking dress #1 is the classic choice...

Just so NO to pick ups!

ETA: If you change to the pick up skirt I'm going to have to come up there to the hinterlands and smack some sense into you! It's dress #1...You know those photos from the 1980s where the bride's wearing some whack southern belle hat with crazy netting and big PUFFY sleeves and a heinous tiered skirt? It looks dated right? Do you want to look at your wedding photos 10-20 years from now and think "what was I thinking with that skirt?!? It looks like coffin lining...?!?" Of course you dont! Go classic. There's a reason classic styles endure, they dont look whack 20 years from now...

Count me as another vote for #1- I just think the back of #1 flows better with the overall design of the dress than the back of #2. BUT, I also second doodle's suggestion of how you can get the best of both worlds! I mean, you'll have to bustle dress #1 for the reception, so you can add some "fluff" to the dress that way (if you still like the idea of pick-ups after reading surfgirl's treatise on them above, with which I tend to agree btw!) Anyway, good call, doodle!

Considering HIS deisgns are so timeless and elegant and certainly NOT dated, I am quite sure he would be absolutely APPAULED should I prance down the aisle with my ass draped in COFFIN LINING !!!!!!
