This is the topic I want to answer:
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/fear-and-loyalty-among-diamond-buyers.103513/

Deborah,
First of all, thank you for your nice comments.
You are true, EightStars are really lovely.
So are ACA diamonds too.
If I had the money, I would change every day, the same way I like to use different perfumes: EightStars diamonds with painted crowns, ACA diamonds with slightly painted crowns and ACA diamonds Classic Line unpainted. All are gorgeous.
I think it''s difficult to find perfect diamonds without a brand, because when a cutter did such a good job, he knows where to sell the stone and it won''t stay long on the market, but that is just my guess.
I''m still waiting for a cutter who sells diamonds with slightly shallow crowns (33.5-34) but longer star facets (steeper upper girdles). Then I''ll probably upgrade. :)

Hi Lorelei, nice to see you too!
I''ve just learned that Brian won''t work at Whiteflash anymore.
I''m so sad, I really admire Brian and his wife.
They both are so kind and helpful!
I really want to say that I love ACA equally to EightStars, it is a matter of mood, and one day I might prefer the first, the day after I will choose the second...
If I had my recut made by Richard, it was because I wanted to discover EightStars; the positive reviews made me very curious.
I''m so sorry the big ACA (7.5ct) is already sold, I was trying to saving some money...

The slightly longer stars and the shallow combo made this diamond so nice when I had the chance to hold it.

Brian and Lesley are wonderful people! They have started their own new business which will go by the name of Brian Gavin Diamonds, www.briangavindiamonds.com so you will definitely have to check them out!

Yep, that was such a shame the mammoth ACA sold, drat! We could have shared it Stephan, maybe gone halves??

500k? Wow. I didn''t know there was one bigger than that 5 ct. That''s huge and the clarity/ color combination is exceptional. Not how I''d want to spend 500k even if I had it, but impressive none-the-less.

I have a friend working on a 50ct D Flawless HRD H&A''s AGS0.
I had it sitting on my hand recently, but have not heard the final result yet.

I do not think he does recuts

For the front door? Bet the door will disappear after the first night it is installed.

The table is the size of a football field. Why 57f instead of unique Garry?

I think the answer is "because he can".
Quite an achievement to produce that level of symmetry in a stone that size.

50ct D Flawless H&A?
The question is why would you choose HRD to evaluate such a diamond?
Perhaps because HRD is very strict on colors?
When HRD says it''s a D, it really is.
