Since JA only provide 3 scope images, which three should I ask for image?

I have 25 on my wishlist but these are my top 5 favorites.

Why are you looking at such high clarity and an I diamond?

You would be better off with an H VS2 that is eyeclean.

3 are Truehearts which come with IS image already; scroll over hearts and arrows icons. Of the 3 Truehearts, 2 come with the AGS platinum report which includes the computer generated ASET.

So.. ask for the IS on the first two

To Gypsy: are you saying color has more impact on diamond than clarity so it is better to get a higher color? I found those diamonds by putting search criteria into the diamond search and they came up within my price range.

To flyingpig: The first two diamonds look okay to you?

Thank you for the responses. Let me try to find some diamonds with higher color and post my result here.

Most VS2 stones will be eye clean and you can even find eye clean SI1 stones. So why buy a VS1 if you can find a VS2 stone that also is eye clean and that will allow you to be able to buy a whiter colored stone. Some people are color sensitive and can distinguish some tint in an I colored stone, others don't mind as a majority of the tint is only distinguishable from the side. It's all about preference. Some would go for an I colored stone in VS2/SI1 clarity just to gain a little size. again, all about preference.

Si1 and eyeclean is going to look just like IF to the naked eye. So as long as the stone is eyeclean, there is no visual advantage to high clarity.

Color on the other hand is something you can always see. So yes, color is going to have a visual impact where as clarity not so much.

I agree 100% with DS. I would much rather have an eyeclean Vs2 H color than a I VS1. Every single time.

Hello, Gypsy,diamondseeker2006,and Stive85. Thank you for your advice. I have much better understanding of color vs clarity. Base on your advice, I found two more diamonds. Can you please take a look at them? Thanks!

I really like this one. It is a little over budget but I don't mind paying extra for a better diamond.

The inclusions bother me, other than that, looking good for a SI1/H diamond.

I will include this one too to request scope images, recommended by diamondseeker2006 and Stive85.

I love that first one. Great stone, no leakage great picture. BUY IT NOW (or put it on hold before someone snatches it and ask for an idealscope though you are okay without one with this stone).

I really like the one DS and Steve picked too. The other one is facing up at 6.4 for it's my last choice.

Gypsy: Thank you for your quick reply. I just requested idealscope for the first diamond. They couldn't get the idealscope for the third diamond, and I didn't bother to get the second diamond.

I feel kind of relieve now. Buying diamond is fun but sometimes can be stressful. I will post the scope image when I receive them. Now i have to worry about setting. Anyone know which JA setting that resembles Tiffany classic 6 prone solitaire? Not sure what setting she likes but Tiffany 6 prone is the safest choice. Thanks!

Gypsy: no she doesn't have pinterest account. I think she wants a simple setting so the first thing that come to my mind is Tiffany setting. Another simple setting that goes well with this diamond?

They sent me idealscope. It looks good to me. What do you think?

Good 8) . Slight leakage but it won't be a visible amount to you or her. No worries.

This is the best 6 prong like Tiffany setting:

I like these two as well (specify delicate prongs with these):

Get platinum if it works for you budget and she wants white metal.
