I am impatiently awaiting the arrival of, what I hope is, my oval diamond. I purchased a loose MMD from 1215 Diamonds. I had been looking at Brilliant Earth, but their prices seemed a little high and after some forum users' experiences, I went with 1215. I hope it's a good experience! I will write a review about them when it's all said and done. This is sort of a twelfth anniversary gift from my husband and I don't wear a wedding band, just my original platinum engagement ring or this one when I am wearing gold jewelry.
Stone: I wanted 10mm x 7mm, J or above, eye clean and a minimal bowtie. I don't mind a slight bowtie and this one seems to fit my criteria based on the imagery and video. But if I get it and the bowtie is awful, I'll be searching again.
Oval Brilliant, GCAL Certified
2.05ct, I, VS2, Excellent Cut
10.30mm x 7.30mm x 4.22mm
Setting: Size 5.25. Yellow or rose gold (am still deciding) halo with pave set diamonds halfway(ish) down the band. I need someone who will work with my stone and possibly MMD for the setting diamonds. I am open to in-person (southern California) or online. I want to make sure that the halo and band's diamond don't look too white next to my I color center stone. I REALLY don't want to spend more than $2500 on the setting. I am split between two styles, mostly concerning the profile. I know I want the halo to be angled, I learned that on Pricescope!

Is this possible within my budget? It's a self imposed budget, he is willing to go higher but I'll have a hard time spending the entire amount he said I could, I just don't know that it's necessary. Any tips or suggestions welcome!
