1,000.00 is alot of less than I had purchased for. GSI appears to be a lab out of NY, most likely internal grading. But I agree, the general consensus even at local shops was it's worth far less. I'd just like it be sold so it's not around. Someone at the shop, suggested I just " keep it". I sorta think of it as bad ju ju. Maybe not?![]()

If you don’t mind throwing a few more dollars at it, why not have it taken apart/melted down and made into a new piece?
Otherwise, I would just sell it and take my losses. No point whatsoever in keeping it around as is if you don’t enjoy it.
Sold to LD for $1000! ...There's no way for us to know without more info or a GIA/AGS report. No idea what "GSI" is, or whether that's their own internal lab. Unfortunately, these types of pieces are always sold for WAY more than they are worth, and are very difficult to sell for even a little bit of what they were purchased for. I would guesstimate 1,000? Maybe?
maybe take a look at how much those rings sell for on eBay to give you an idea how much you could get for it. If it is a popular brand there will be several potential buyers

Well that gives some hope that there is more selling value potential than I thought at first; however, that’s a lot of listings to compete with.
I looked up leo diamonds and found it interesting that they use a 66 facet cut. The site also states the diamonds are cut by master cutters. Maybe these diamonds are of decent quality? Does anyone here know?

And for fun I looked up your ring:

I couldn’t find anything about upgrade or buy-back policies.
I took a quick look at eBay listings and think yours would list around $1700? ... but to actually sell it, probably less. An example with a bit less carat weight:
