What normal foods do you dislike/hate?

Ooo, I forgot two good ones. I hate coconut in any form.

I also cannot stand coffee, not even coffee ice cream or other coffee desserts (well, I''ll eat them to be polite, but I won''t order them). Sometimes I have to go to work at 5am and work for 12 hours on my feet. I get so tired and usually end up with a diet coke at 6am to stay awake ... gross. I don''t even like diet coke and I just wish I could have a nice warm cup of coffee! That would be a much nicer way to get caffeine.

I ditto all of these! Except that there is one brand of cottage cheese I like, but I can''t find it in my area so I never eat the stuff. And I don''t like breakfast sausage.

I obviously don''t belong in this thread. I love olives of every type and cannot conceive of why someone would deprive himself of trying them. They come in many, many varieties! The canned ripe olives and bottled green ones stuffed with pimentos are not the only olives in the world! Olive carts in supermarkets are full of different varieties: Sicilian, oi-cured olives; Greek olives; tiny, Nicoise olives; the variety is endless!
And what is wrong with Brussels sprouts? At least one can try them! (Or not, of course, if one does not want to!)

PS-There are things-organ meats-that I have never tried, either! I just don''t feel that vegetables fall into the same category as organ meats, but chacun a son gout!

Ha ha, Deb, it''s not that you don''t belong in this thread...it''s that I think we''re talking about normal supermarket type foods or foods that most people will eat but some are strangely picky about. (It''s the end of the day and I''m not expressing myself very succinctly, sorry).

I like sampling olives at delis that actually offer a nice selection.

I LOVE brussels sprouts...I know, I''m a weird, weird girl...

Here is a dislike of mine that used to be blasphemous when I lived in Chicago: I cannot stand corned beef and cabbage. (Yes, I even tried it once back in the day when I still ate meat). So there.

Kidney beans unless they are in chili. My grandmother made this horrible salad with them . . . you don''t want to know.
Grits. In any way, shape, or form -- hot, cold, buttery, sweet, or cheesy. Ick. Shrimp and grits? Lord, no.

Soft white sandwich bread like Wonder.
Little Debbie snack cakes/cookies. Any variety. Ugh.

anything with mayo- YUCK.

Fudge or anything fudge flavored

Custurd, rice pudding, or any type of dessert that is the consistency of custurd of pudding

Green peppers

Yogurt (frozen yogurt is OK though)

milk (except in coffee)

Not so odd:

Liver (as a kid my mother always made liver and onions and in my house it was eat what she cooked or go hungry. On liver nights, I would go hungry rather than eat liver. YUCK)

gefilte fish (anyone jewish knows what this stuff is. ) An awful type of processed fish that comes in a jar of gel type substance that is served at Passover or in my grandma''s case, every time I came over to her house she would offer it to me, Ewwwwwww.

Lots more, my memory is frozen right now.

I forgot about tongue. My dad would cook it.

AND as if thats not bad enough, he then made cows BRAINS. No kidding. BRAINS. Thankfully he did not have the same rule that my mom had that we had to eat what he cooked or go hungry I think since he only had us once a week (divorce) so on those nights I would eat pb&j or a bowl of cereal!!

I agree with everything on the list except cream cheese and Heath bars. Love cream cheese and Heath bars, but not at the same time.

Never understood the appeal of dr. pepper. And cheesecake, ickkkk.
