I''m sure there are others but these are the few that came to mind.

HI:

I fear the box won''t be able to hold all my ''dislikes'':

butter
cream cheese
any store bought (preprepared) cake, pastry, cookies, and donuts
ice cream
most canned vegetable products
most soda pop
most fast food
most Starbucks drinks
everything my MIL cooks
packaged stuffing
bottled preprepared salad dressings, gawd especially creamy ones like ''ranch''
most often pizzza
tomato juice
KD
most pasta

I know there are dozens more......

cheers--Sharon
OMG I laughed out loud to that one! Apart from that you sound very healthy!

I love food and couldn't think of anything until I glanced at lists. . . here are a few items:

Cottage cheese
Liver, etc.
Raisins or any dried fruit (I feel like there is mold on the fruit
14.gif
)
Canned Veggies
Velveta Cheese
White bread

Most other things I'll eat especially if there is a salt shaker nearby. SALT ROCKS! In years past, it was a highly sought after commodity!

Seafood (and I grew up in Rhode Island on an island... literlaly SURROUNDED by seafood)
Veal
Olives
Bologna, pastrami, salami (any deli meat that has been chopped up and put back together
14.gif
)

I''m sure there''s more but these are the things that come straight to mind.

Forgot raisins - blech!! I don''t like any dried fruit with the exception of craisins.

Pretty much the only food I will absolutely not eat is hard boiled eggs.

Also, I try not to eat any processed foods or anything with high fructose corn syrup in it. I don't really think of that as being a picky eater, though, since I don't think that should count as food.

Claritek: I''ve never known a fellow New Enlgander that didn''t like seafood...
Not even shrimp?

Your post reminds me that cranberries are okay. The only way I''ll eat them is cooked in a recipe. . .I use cranberries, walnuts, and brown rice and add a bit of cinnamon. It''s kind of plain, but an easy "whole food" meal for when I''m lazy

Chewy gross Calimari .. blech
Green peppers
Three bean salad
Ham (unless its jerky style Smithfield Ham)
Chicken wings
Ribs
Anything organ-y
Salami
Fruit cake

I didn''t used to like brussel sprouts ... but someone told me to add fresh ginger (or even ginger powder) to the water & it takes all the bitterness away. Now I enjoy them. Will HAVE to try the "bacon method" as described above. Sounds delish!!

Oh, yeah, beef jerky. Another dried food. ANY parishable food that is dried and meant to be eaten that way grosses me out.

I had a hard time coming up with these, so I stole a few!

- Big hunks of tomato. I love most tomato products if they''re liquified (sauce, salsa, ketchup), but I don''t want a fat slice on my hamburger and I won''t take a bite out of one. Blegh.
- Seafood (except for tuna)
- Olives
- Bologna
- Hot Dogs
- Stuffing (Thanksgiving)

I''m also super picky about the texture of meat. If I taste a piece of gristle in whatever I''m eating (chicken or beef, normally), it''ll ruin that meat for me for weeks. I''m planning on becoming vegetarian soon.

- Potato salad

- Mayonnaise

Two good (I mean bad, of course) ones. I can only stand mayo if it''s just a bit mixed with tuna, but on nothing else.

Ugh, stuffing is nasty.

Ditto to nasty meat. I can barely eat any meat other than fish as it is (only chicken) but if chicken tastes too "meaty" I can''t eat it for weeks. It needs to be well flavored. Thick chicken breasts gross me out.

This discussion is unsettling to my tummeh!

I really dislike green olives stuffed with pimentos. I would much rather have them stuffed with blue cheese and surrounded by a vodka martini.

Gosh...some of you have lists so long that I wonder how you keep body and soul together! I wish I had more foods I disliked!

Well, I don''t know, Sharon. I don''t know what KD is, for example, and there are a few things on this list that I don''t truly love (like most canned vegetables)...but for the most part this might be a list of my favorite foods. It makes me wonders how your MIL cooks. I bet anything that I would think she was a spectacular cook and would love to eat at her house!

I''m super finicky about cheese! I hated it until I was 18 and then started eating it in different ways and liking it (they all smell bad though). There are too many to list what I dislike so here''s the list of cheeses I do like:

Cheese eaten cold: Mozzarella, Gruyere, cheddar (some types)
Cheese hot: Mozzarella (lasagna, pizza), jack and cheddar combo for
enchiladas. Cheese on In n Out burgers (the only
burger I eat with cheese). French onion soup cheese
sometimes. Fondue restaurant cheddar cheese fondue.

That being said, sometimes my taste buds change and don''t like cheese altogether for months at a time. It can be frustrating because one day I like it and the next, I don''t.

The other list:
Corned beef and cabbage
yogurt
liver
Brussel sprouts

I obviously don't belong in this thread. I love olives of every type and cannot conceive of why someone would deprive himself of trying them. They come in many, many varieties! The canned ripe olives and bottled green ones stuffed with pimentos are not the only olives in the world! Olive carts in supermarkets are full of different varieties: Sicilian, oi-cured olives; Greek olives; tiny, Nicoise olives; the variety is endless!
And what is wrong with Brussels sprouts? At least one can try them! (Or not, of course, if one does not want to!)

PS-There are things-organ meats-that I have never tried, either! I just don't feel that vegetables fall into the same category as organ meats, but chacun a son gout!

I love most food except:

Bell peppers. And they''re on EVERYTHING.
Tuna. Love all other seafood.
Chives.
Cooked carrots. Fine with the raw ones.
