Looking for some guidance, any help is appreciated! My wife has a 1.04ct round brilliant engagement ring that I bought for her in 2002 at Tiffany & Co.. Ever since I gave her that ring she has told me that she loved the setting but wished that she had diamonds on her band. So as an anniversary gift I decided to bring her e-ring to Tiffany's and have it remounted in a new channel setting. We had the ring sent out from the tiffany store in philladelphia to the one in New York to be re-mounted in the new setting about a week ago and now I'm just waiting to go pick it up. The manager at Tiffany's told me that her original mounting will be returned to me with her new ring. I then asked him to have my diamond registration number and carat weight removed from the inside of the original band to protect my information since I no longer have a use for it and will sell it. The inside of the ring still says "Tiffany & Co. PLAT950". The mounting is a size 5.5, originally held a 1.04ct stone, and has no damage at all. It could use a polishing but I'm going to have them do it at the Tiffany's store when I pick it up. My question is where would be the best place to sell and what price should I ask for?!? Thank you all for any help!
