I love anything vintage or country chic. I have just decorated my dining room and bought a beautiful table runner. It was inexpensive so I was happy to get a bargain. Its in a fabric by Cath Kidston. I am not handy so couldn''t have made it myself.

What have you treated yourself to lately?

I bought myself another purse last night!

Cute table runner, Maisie!

That is lovely! Who is it by?

A couple of things.
Sneakers. My old ones were 3 years old and falling apart. I replaced them with dance sneakers, which I love and are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever owned.

The clarisonic Mia. It does make my skin ridiculously smooth, but it has done very little for the blackheads. It has been almost a month and although I do not break out from it, I am not getting the results I hoped.

Monster hunter tri. DH and I play a few video games. This one was on sale and I like Wii games, so we play this one. I love it because instead of being on computers in different rooms, we are together. When we finish it we are buying the new Mario.

I am trying to buy a new jacket. As sun protection, I always wear my jacket and it is truly falling apart. Finding one that is lightweight so I don''t overheat, has long sleeves to protect my arms and isn''t designed to be grungy has been an insurmountable challenge.

Its funny, I rarely buy things for myself, but a number of my things needed replacing at the same time.

I have worn the same sneakers for the past 4 years. They are falling apart. I am such a miser when it comes to buying shoes. I wear them till they fall apart. I have decided to be way more careful in the sun than before. I don''t know if its me becoming more sensible or that I should practice what I preach to my kids. They never get burned by the sun. If they aren''t covered in sun block then they don''t go out.

I haven''t bought myself a single thing for the entire month of May, and I am very impressed with myself! I love clothes and tend to buy a lot of them because I still work part-time at the clothing store I used to buy for. But I''m challenging myself and I''m trying not to buy any clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, etc. until July, when I go on a trip to Sweden. Yay Swedish clothes!

Oooh nice! Where are you going to stay? Is this a fun trip or work?

A proper crinoline! I wear a lot of 50''s-esque circle skirts, and I have been wanting a crinoline to amp it up for ages. But so many of them are either cheap-looking if modern or, if you vintage, sort of falling apart. While I know it is weird from someone who''s happy to buy vintage *skirts* and wear them *sans* crinoline ... an old crinoline still reads as underwear in bad shape to me! So I finally sucked it up and spent $80 on a fancy crinoline, and you know what? It looks AWESOME. Can''t remember the last time an article of clothing made me so happy!

That's an adorable runner, Maisie! Perfect for a shabby chic room.

I just purchased the Clarisonic Mia in pink! My skin is in desperate need of smoothing. And thanks to Thing, her coupon knocked $30 off the total! Woo-hoo!

We''re going to Stockholm just for fun! My brother lives there so we''re staying in his little guest house. So no hotel means more shopping money!

I love your runner-Cath Kidston stuff is cute! I saw your table in some other thread (can''t remember where!) and I can''t wait to see it all together!

It''s awesome-you will love it! Actually, I think my Clarisonic is the last thing I got for myself, too. I got the grey one (apparently I''m a man, judging from the packaging

) but my sisters both got pink (one Mia and one bigger) and they are super pretty!

How lovely to have somewhere to stay! Can I come?

The table was in my paint thread in F&H. I ended up going with white walls. Here is the before and after....

Oooh, it looks fantastic! So funny how a little paint and different accessories change everything!

I bought myself Jessica Simpson shoes and also two bikini tops from Victoria Secret

I got myself the Clarisonic Mia in yellow! And I''m going to buy a Nikon D3000 soon. I can''t wait!

It cost me less than £40 to do the decorating. I feel rather clever! My main excitement was the wallpaper on the bottom of the walls. Its beadboard paper and it looks like wood panels. It took me hardly any time to put it on and its designed to cover difficult walls.

Here is a photo I found on the net which shows the detail

plants, seeds, potting soil, pots. oh, and a pair of orange glass earrings!

Incredible! Great job Maisie!

I just went on a shopping spree at Ann Taylor Loft. I needed some new stuff. I am in a friends wedding and I have the shower, rehearsal, etc so I needed a couple nice outfits.

Thing, I also was a buyer before being a SAHM. I don''t miss all the stress and late nights!

Cool, lizzyann! Also clothing? I miss it and I don''t...I *definitely* don''t miss the travel-monthly trips to both NY and LA seem glamorous for about a year and then it''s just too much!

I got two bikini tops from Victoria''s secret, shoes and tops from New York and Co., and some candles from Yankee Candles (since they were having their semi annual sale!). Now, time to do some grocery shopping too!

Maise, LOVE yr new dining room and that adorable table runner!

I haven't really bought much lately. Living here in China and due the higher taxes on imported goods and the lousy customer service, I tend not to go shopping (used to be a shopaholic in Singapore)!. But during my last trip to the US in April, I bought another pair of wicked Gucci heels (yay, another pair!!
36.gif
) and 2 pieces of clothing from Y3 at much cheaper prices compared to here.

Oh, am also buying a small pair of diamond earrings from BGD and a small AVC from GOG!!

My justification is that I'm saving DH a ton of money in other areas!

I just bought a heap of co-ordinating towels for our ensuite and the guest bathrooms, with matching toilet mats (I know, woo hoo, right?
41.gif
), and I love them! So new and fluffy and soft
3.gif
I got some liquid soap dispensers that look like they''re covered in tiny pebbles, too cute!

I''ve also been a bit naughty and bought a .65ct OMC and .50ct OEC last week, both of which I''m still waiting for. One has just cleared customs in Melbourne and one is up in the air somewhere! Yay!

Onion rings! Yum.

I Don''t eat fried stuff. Found some Alexia brand in the grocers freezer, baked them and then inhaled them. I savored every morsel. Baked they taste as good as fried. Honest. Now I have to run 500 miles to work them off. Darn stupid onion rings! Buyers remorse already setting in.

I hear you on the travel. I bought mens clothing (collections) for one retailer, then womens clothing (sweaters and knits) for another retailer, and then most recently toys of all things!. I was going to HK twice a year, Dallas, and NY. Seems fun at the moment but like you said - it wears on you. And I knew I didn''t want to be a buyer once I had my little guy so I am home now. One thing I do miss though is getting all dressed up and having fabulous clothes. These days I am lucky to shower every day and flat iron my hair! I am thinking of maybe getting a part time job this fall though at either Banana Republic or Loft as I like their clothes and it would give me a taste of retail!!

I just won this on Ebay! £62!!

It all sounds gorgeous! Especially the diamonds! What will you do with them?
