Sadly no, it is not handpainted - I doubt I could have afforded it if it was.

But when I was growing up I had a kitty who looked just like the orange one on the dress, and it makes me happy to look at it! Fits divinely and best part - don''t have to wear the dreaded bra!

It cost me less than £40 to do the decorating. I feel rather clever! My main excitement was the wallpaper on the bottom of the walls. Its beadboard paper and it looks like wood panels. It took me hardly any time to put it on and its designed to cover difficult walls.

I just saw this! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR MAISIE - wallpaper?! That is the most amazing wallpaper ever. I''m SO bookmarking this for when I start thinking of decorating!

I know what you mean about the cat.


We lost our cat last week that looks like that. 17 pounds. He was asleep in the neighbor's driveway and the neighbor drives a Prius. I think SunnyBoy did not hear the car. Our standard poodle groomed the cat impeccably, and she is looking for him.

Last couple months have spent loads on furniture and a new mattress (

I shouldn't be this excited about a material object!). My mother is terribly jealous because she has had her mattress for 25 years, finally replaced it with a used one but it is not working for her. So, I promised I would help her buy a new mattress in a couple months, so need to save my pennies. Summer wardrobe is practically nonexistent, but will probably have to wait till next year to address that. Next nice thing I'll buy myself is a nice hair cut.

Gardengloves-swoon! I love it all-your closet, your chair and your organizational habits.

I just saw you responded to me on the talk thread. I can''t believe you have two of those chairs. The armed chair is my favorite but I love that way the armless looks in your closet, probably makes it easier to sit and put shoes on etc. One day I will have one, but til then, I''ll just love all over yours if that''s ok with you!
