Ellen, I like the way this emerald pendant looks. Just another idea in case you change your mind. hehehe
I am visual so I can't imagine it; I wish someone would photoshop it.

Hey ellen...after reading all your posts I still think a full bezel set pendant, plat on plat chain (or white gold if you prefer) would be the prettiest option given that you want something simple yet lovely. I think that style would be so wearable in any situation - quietly elegant, if you will. But that''s just my two cents...Whatever floats your boat, missy!

I like the idea of a bezel, as well. Simple and classic. And as for you, Harriet, do some relaxation breaths and think how much better you''ll feel once your on your way

On your bezel set idea...are your thoughts along this line...but of course rectangular? I think this is a slider. As long as the stone is...there could be two sets of slots for the chain to run through. E/W & N/S.

Skippy, lol, this is it.
2.gif
Also, that link wouldn''t work for me, can you save the pic to your puter and then post it maybe?

surfgirl, I hear what you''re saying. And the idea I had was still simple, just expanding the overall size a bit....

DKS, yes, that''s kinda what I had in mind visually. A thick metal border, with a few minor adjustments. Wish I could photoshop too.

As for the bags, lol, I went through the jewelry I mentioned earler and there''s a small pair of Opal earrings, plus my Aquamarines. Also what looks like a pair of small round Rubies, but I have no idea if they''re real. If I get a chance today I''ll take some pics and post them and we can discuss options on those. Not sure if I''ll be able to or not though, as youngest is having his wisdom teeth out today.

Ellen dearest,
I hope you didn't think I was being short with you last night. If so, I'm sowwee.

Marian,
I'll try.

DKS,
You can't tell me not to do something and expect me to not do it.

DF, yes, and almost a xmas baby at the 21st.

Skip, thanks for missing me. Son decided to be put out for his teeth, we weren''t planning on that. So he was out of it a good bit of the day, and then got sick from the pain meds.

I''ll get the pics eventually.

BTW, what do you clean Opals with? I searched and never got an answer.

ooooh Skippers - that is pretty! I think Ellen needs a halo around her diamond to match the one around her head....

You really DO have a misconception of me dear.

Tankies.

I love that look, really! But, if I went that route, I just don''t think it would look right with jeans and a T-shirt, and I really want to be able to wear it with casual, even more than with dressy.
28.gif
But it IS pretty....

Now, take the picture Skippy posted and visualize the area where the halo is as WG, polished, with ribbon prongs.

What do you think??
