Okay, first I wanted to try creating a new topic.

Second, colored stones are so COOL I thought it would be fun to see what colored gems you wore today.

I wore my blue sapphire set. Yes, I do pick my clothes to match my rings.

Sparkle on . . . :wavey:

Never have the time to match

A ruby ring, a spinel ring, a tsavorite ring and an alexandrite ring (I just can not decide which of the to take off), my diamond studs, a demantoid pendant, antique gold watch, old diamond bracelet

Which part of the day? I switched what I wore on my hands halfway through... :naughty:

I want to play!

I wore a dark raspberry top, to go with it I picked my recently set teal color tourmaline in two-tone LOGR lotus ring.

BTW, I want to report that I am very happy with my new stone setter. I will take some pictures and start a new thread on it. I have two of the same LOGR lotus setting both with 9mm tourmalines. One was set in NY and the new one by the new goldsmith. The results are significantly different.

Ghee, I want a hand shot with all those on you!

I wore a new green diamond half-eternity band (I'm sure the color has been helped by man), blue zircon oval studs, and my green tsavorite cab pendant. I had on a royal blue top. Green and blue work together, don't they? :cheeky:

spessartite and spectrolite! (I like alliteration in my stones)

Today? I wore my Richard Homer sapphire ring and my 5-stone diamond band. Let's hope my first attempt to get pics on here on PS2 works!

Sweet, I love to hear what everyone wears.

Crasru, how fun to wear such a variety of rings. I love all of your gems too. I’d love to see a hand shot as well.

Too funny, Freke. I’ve been known to change out my jewelry too. Color, color, color – right?

Yingh, I bet your raspberry top went great with your teal tourmaline. I can’t wait to see your new ring.

Fly Girl, you bet green and blue work together. I bet your green diamond band is amazing. I love blue zircons and tsavorite is always a hit.

VapidLapid, spessartite and spectrolite – alliteration and color at the same time. I like it!

Brown Eyed Girl, your rings are lovely and I am glad to see posting pictures here worked for you. Your sapphire is a great color and your diamond band looks like a real sparkler.

My green grey diamond, my other green grey diamond three stone ring with pink diamond sides (again rose gold), my Afghan mint tourmaline cushion, my violet spinel, and my neon glowy paraiba (two tone yellow and white gold, rose gold, and white gold respectively). Yes, I'm gawdy. I hide my hands under tables quite a bit at work. Sorry, it's my entertainment, I need something pretty to look at all day, and I don't wear jewelry to look good for other people, but for myself. (is it just me, but I love these new "devil" emoticons - LOL!)

Ok I'll play for real.

I started out the day wearing my Montana sapphire solitaire, my wedding band and my Tiffany Trefoil key.

Then I got the mail!

yingh, I'm looking forward to your new thread about the setter you found, especially since we live in the same area. Care to share where you went in NY to have your stone set? I'm headed there soon.

And as for me, my fingers went totally commando today.

Freke, congrats on your new ring! It is fabulous! (and very similar color to my new teal tourmaline ;) )

cellentani , after seeing the difference in quality I am not sure that I would like to refer you to the NY stone setter. My new goldsmith is in Tysons Galleria. His job cost as twice as the NY guy, but I will say it is worth it. I have one more ring to pick up from him that is a reset job. Then I will really be able to tell the difference. Hang on for my comparison thread - I am going to take pictures now. :)

yingh, that's what I figured you meant about the NY guy, and I was hoping to take that into consideration when I scope out vendors/benchmen in a few days. ;)) Glad to hear you're working on pics!

Sorry for the threadjack marcy, and I would expect nothing less from you than an outfit to match your jewelry suite - must be fun in the morning to pick sparklies out of your jewelry box.

Oh dear, is it sacrilegious to admit that I wore no rings at all yesterday and today?

Today I have on my sapphire/diamond eternity band, engagement ring, emerald/diamond snake ring and asscher chrysoberyl ring; chrysoberyl pendant and some copper earrings.

Marcy, this is the best thread idea. I love seeing and reading what everyone wore. TL, you can't post something like that w/o a photo. It is not allowed. A cell photo would be fine, so don't hide behind your excuse that your photos always have to be professional quality.
Freke, you get the award for the funniest answer so far. I love your photos. The rings are so pretty.

I've been doing yard work all week, so I only wore my eternity band. Actually, I do keep an interesting item on at all times, and I doubt anyone else on PS has one, so I will mention it. I wear a medic alert bracelet, brace yourself, from Tiffany. When I learnt I had to wear one, I was determined to go first class, as they are hideously eye catching. They are not listed in their website or catalogue, but if you need one, call them. They shipped mine from New York to my local store, and when I wore it out, they repaired it at no charge. A medic alert bracelet is one item that it is worth the price of paying for the Tiffany name. There is no competition--literally!!!

+1. I didn't wear any jewelery at all!

Today is my e-ring + carre wedding band plus my Tsavorite RHR.

Not wearing jewellery today. :cheeky:

My tiny blue star sapphire ring (6X4) and my Blue topaz necklace (that I wear every day).

And as an experiment... A terrible cell phone picture! Too bad it's cloudy or you'd be able to see the star, which is well centered and defined. This weekend I'll try to use my new camera to get some images of my small collection, I'm young so most of the stones are little guys, but I love them

Rhodie full bezel 18kt yg ring from The Collector (Pala Intl) on left hand, nothing on right. Diamond Journey necklace (I know, I know but I liked it), yg Byzantine bracelet left wrist.

I wore yesterday and will wear today my normal line-up: yellow diamond 1/2 eternity ring on my left pinky, wedding set (see avatar) on my left ring finger, and a James Avery Meridian ring on my right ring finger. I also have a plain hoop through a conch piercing in my left ear and 3 mm diamond studs in my second holes.

I wore black jeans and black cashmere poloneck sweater with black scarf (hey its winter here)

and for just a little bit of colour I wore my new peridot ring which absolutely "popped" against the black clothing.

Got lots of compliments as well, so yay!!!!!
:appl:

Fun topic Marcy! I have to say I am another one, I have worked 12 hour night shifts all this week starting with the holiday weekend and all I have worn is my diamond studs and eternity band, then I was off yesterday and slept all day and part of the night so no color at all but I will cheat and tell you what I have planned for the weekend, we are going to a garden tour benefit for the hospital auxillary that we go to every year and it is kind of fun, alot of people dress up, think flowy dresses and big straw hats. I have a new blue floral dress and will wear my new spinel necklace with the sapphire ring on my avatar and a vintage bar pin with a blue sapphire. I am thinking I might put that on my hat, not sure about that yet. And some bangles or something with the good diamond watch. :appl: Then date night , woo hoo, perfect margarita from applebys here I come! I will continue the blue theme, just a different outfit. Can you tell I need a night out? I have been planning clothes and jewelery for a week!

Just trying to attach a photo - seems like the vast majority of my photos have disappeared from threads. Argh!

Don't say that! Your photos are so pretty, but with colored stones, they are also a resource.

Nothing today. Doing yard/house work. Wednesday at work I just wore my gold band w/our names/anni date on it.

TL-it's not gaudy to wear those rings! Least, it better not be, b/c when I have more rings, I'm wearing them ALL too! That's why each project is for a specific finger, so I can wear them at the same time.

I was a “diamond girl” today. I wore my EC RHR, my PC WG bypass band for my wring, a WG diamond bracelet, pendant and dangle earrings.

TL, I look at my rings often too for the very same reason. I always like to see how they look and sparkle in different lighting as well. The devil emoticons are great.

Freke, I love your rings. How nice to get something new in the mail.

Cellantani, LOL at your fingers being totally commando. I certainly resemble that remark that I pick out a jewelry suite to match my clothes.

Yingh, I will look for your comparison thread. It is worth it to pay extra to get quality workmanship.

Chrono, I occasionally don’t wear any jewelry but it does kind of freak me out for a minute when I think I’ve lost a ring or bracelet.

Kismet, it is so cool to hear what you wear because I know what some of your pieces look like. I love your sapphire / diamond eternity band. And of course your ring collection signature.

Pink Tower, I am glad you like this thread. I thought it would be fun. How cool to have a medic alert bracelet from Tiffany but you may as well get the best!

IndyLady, sometimes I don’t get out any jewelry because I am lounging around the house and then I don’t have to clean it before I put it up at night.

Lauren, I really like your rings but your Carre band is my favorite now. I love tsavorite too. Thanks for the lovely photo of your rings too.

Lovinggems, I am sure your jewelry missed you though.

Maebelle, I love star sapphires. I had a pink one but sold it to a friend. Your ring and pendant are pretty. I will watch for your photos.

StonieGrl, I bet your rhodolite ring is gorgeous.

Lavatea, your normal line-up of jewelry sounds great! Your wedding set is so pretty.

Mac-W I bet your peridot really popped with your black sweater. What a great color combo.

Rhbgirl, your wedding set is more than enough.

Thanks Icom. After working 12 hour night shifts all week you do need a night out and it sounds like you will be well dressed and accented with lovely jewelry! Your spinel ring is so pretty. Enjoy your weekend and those perfect margaritas.

Packrat, I don’t wear jewelry either when I work around the house or in the yard. I want to get us a plain gold band too for when we go camping.
