Hi,

I am looking at buying this Asscher, would you say this is a good stone or are there areas I should look at improving and look at other option.....?

Carat: 1.10
Colour: E
Clarity: VS1

Polish: VG
Symmetry: Good
Flouro: None

Table: 68%
Depth: 69.7%

Thank you :)

You'll have to provide us some magnified pictures and preferably an ASET image. You cannot choose an asscher by numbers. The table is large and that would be something I wouldn't particularly like. But I wouldn't be able to tell if the stone has any potential or not without the images.

I dont have any photos sorry :(

Are you only able to tell a good Asscher by looking at it rather than whats on the GIA? Can I ask why a large table is bad, whats the best size?

Thanks for your advise.

Have you seen it, what is your budget?

Yeah I have seen it and its lovely I just have nothing to compare it too, it was $8k (AUS), that's roughly our budget

Are you an Aussie? Good Old Gold have some of the nicest cut Asschers available anywhere;

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamondSearch.php

If you scroll down and do an Advanced search you can at least familiarise yourself with what nice ones should look like.

If you want an absolute drop dead gorgeous one and don't mind paying a premium for a specialty cut then also look at the Octavia Cuts as well.
