What are your thoughts on how government is handling COVID-19

No, that is not what I said. The reason he attacked her may have not been for a racist reason, more like he was mentally ill. He probably attacks white people, men, women....all types. THAT was my point. Some mentally ill people have attacked more than one person and still roam around. They have usually attacked more than just one or two “types” of people, including people who look like them. Did you read any of what I typed? Do YOU really think I was literally attacked by a group of girls for being tall?! They literally were commenting on it while following me around before physically attacking me. So I guess that is the reason?! Seriously.
I also said they they are likely democrats since it seems to happen in more democrat run areas, not “Trumpland”. I really didn’t think such “educated” women would have such difficulty understanding such easy to read messages.
And, what does Richard Spencer have anything to do with this? He praises Asians. I have found myself on his website (forgot the name now) and I think he is mentally ill. You can rest assured, most conservatives hate him. I belong to closed conservative, libertarian and anarchist groups and know for a fact nearly nobody agrees with that creep in anything.

Sorry, but I can tell the difference between a severely mentally ill person and a mentally stable person who is racist. I’m not quite sure how you can lump these two together. It’s pretty obvious if you’ve heard them on the street, screaming vs. a passing racist comment. I didn’t say all Republicans were racist. It’s just that Trump is egging these people on.

I am sorry you experienced racism. Who was egging on the idiots calling me racial slurs? I truly don't understand the need to blame someone else for the actions of jerks.
 
@strawrose Just curious, did you report your incident to the authorities? Also, how do you know “these people” are “egged on by Trump”; did the person you interacted with say that, or are you assuming?

It’s the fact that they used Trump’s exact words “Chinese Virus.” How is that not direct? I did send it to the Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council.
 
I can tell you that out of my trump supporter friends, 75% of them are now done with him and will not vote for him again after he called Covid a democrat hoax and they can see for themselves how badly he is bungling things. His press conferences are CRINGEWORTHY and his supporters have said he needs to stop talking altogether. Hope for the next election!
 
GOP senators telling everyone to go out to eat, Republican senators selling off their stock (Martha Stewart went to jail for this,) Fox news saying it was all bullshit until a few days ago, and now Rand Paul, who single-handedly STALLED the relief bill has coronavirus- had NO symptoms and was able to get tested when there is a shortage of tests and we asking grandmothers to make PPE's. Just a tragedy of comedies for the republicans. Just showing how out of touch they are. Good God did they F this up...
 
I think anyone who would attack another person for their race, sexual orientation, sex-you name it would have to be mentally unstable.....There is no way they walk, work, drive around with people of different races all around them and hate them for NO reason and be mentally stable. I truly believe it to be impossible. I may be wrong but highly doubt it.

This is why I can't get behind you regarding Trump being the reason. Could it be because Trump said it and now it's deemed racist? Why wasn't it before?

Even mentally ill people can have good ideas. There are plenty of geniuses with mental illness. Which then means that not all of their ideas are necessarily bad.
I think it was easier to be racist back then when people didn’t have neighbors of different races to see how normal and harmless most people actually are.
My theory.

I do not know what in the actual f*k you are trying to say here. I'm not even going to venture a guess.

I just wanted to say that earlier, when I wrote about crap I hear in my predominantly Republican neighborhood, I was trying to make the point that just because that kind of thinking/talk doesn't exist in your conservative circle doesn't mean it doesn't happen in others. What I should have also pointed out was that these are not the views of all of the people in my conservative area, probably not even most. I'm just saying that I see and hear it even if you don't.

In my own life experience I've found racial bias across all "types:" conservative liberal, blue-collar, academic. I've done a lot of work confronting my own biases over the years. I think most people are good decent people and mean well. Let's hope we all pull together for this crisis.
