From our liberal Governor..... He will try to keep businesses closed for as long as he can, b/c of his liberal ideologies many of these small businesses in Ca. will close up shop forever...:angryfire:

What??? Did you read the article? That is nothing like what he said. He is my governor and I think he has done a great job. You repeatedly use the word liberal as a disparaging remark. Why?

Do you understand the word fabrication? like in fabricated facts? maybe you have alternate facts? that's it.. alternative universe.

Texas LOVES illegal immigrants. We LOVE LOVE THEM.

You know what I want? I want all my tax money that I pay back because it goes to red states! that's what I want.

Most Federally Dependent States are below, see the pattern, if not I'll explain it to you. Ya know I think all the states that Clinton won should all cut taxes a LOT before asking for federal assistance. Yup.

What do you all think about this? It makes me uneasy as I have family in FL who think they are invincible and in the clear. Seems the Covid19 reporting is lacking in some states, but they are reporting many more pneumonia deaths than usual... hmmm. Trying to keep their states open by fudging the numbers?

I think many states are under-reporting, now that we are opening up - my state - has the most cases ever. I think fudging is the game in these red states personally.

So is better to over report?

My Canadian future MIL is genuinely worried for me because they follow the news and think it's safer for me in Canada. I think that speaks volumes about the lack of confidence people have for what American government is doing.

Sure, and I have a bridge for Trump to buy.. vote blue.

Ugh. I can’t imagine how his friends and family must feel reading this tweet from their president while their loved one is in serious condition at the hospital.

Here’s the video of the incident and an article explaining the background

Reporter April Ryan tweeted the following today:

Stephen Miller, who crafted @realDonaldTrump immigration policy at the southern border, including separating families and caging children, is preparing @WhiteHouse speech on race relations. @aurnonline #AURN report.

Trump is having a rally in Tulsa next week. He is making everyone attending sign a letter releasing liability if anyone gets the virus.

Its no wonder NC wouldn't commit to the GOP convention. Here's a partial look at today's numbers.

Strange, The left wasn't too concern about the virus spreading during the Floyd protest but concern about spreading during a Trump rally??..

Just an FYI that my husband pointed out to me a while back and I thought you might find helpful. If you click on the arrow in the column heading for New Cases it will reorder the entire graph in either ascending or descending order for that column. I use this feature all the time now when I am looking at the different statistics. :geek2:

Don't you know? The protesters are exercising social justice; therefore, Covid is taking a "time out". One sided, I must say.

Yup! "Good for me, not for thee" says NC Gov. Cooper, seen here ‘demonstrating’ leadership for a photo op while marching with protesters, and at the same time blowing off the RNC, continuing to deny his state’s citizens the ability to return to work, and permitting the arrest of business owners who dared re-open to put food on their table.

Yeah... indoor unmasked rally is not the same risk profile as outside masked protests... I’m curious if trump will mandate masks inside the venue. They are boasting 300k tickets sold or something inane like that (venue capacity is 20k).

I have been active in my city’s BLM protests. Our hospital in fact had a #whitecoatsforblacklives protest event where we all knelt, 6 feet apart, in masks, in an outdoor field. We as healthcare workers were all aware of covid risk, none of us thought it was taking a “time out”, and we mitigated the risk as we could since masks+outdoors+distance is very very low transmission risk.

Even in the larger protests I went to where people couldnt maintain 6 ft distance, they still maintained as much distance as they could and everyone wore masks, even the kids!! Of course not all protests and protesters take precautions, but many certainly do.

Equating a movement to end systemic racism and the murder of black Americans to a partisan political rally is not even apples to oranges in my book, it’s like apples to airplanes.

Here’s the last protest march I went to:

Here’s what the BOK center looks like in Tulsa where the rally will be hosted with apparently al seats sold. It’s a sports and concert venue.

Trump supporters don’t care if he does anything to unite the country during times of disease and protest. They don’t care if anything he does benefits them. They just love that he attacks the same people they don’t like. The protestors, the scientists... *yawn*

Annnnnnnd the usual, intolerant anti-Trump whining continues, perpetuating their "good for me, not for thee" mentality by cheering on these protests during COVID, yet the same gang harshly criticized the thousands of peaceful citizens exercising their first amendment rights with their anti-lockdown protests during COVID ... where - as a reminder - no people/businesses/property was harmed or damaged ... but yea ... ‘Orange Man Bad’.

It was on every news station how concerned both sides were regarding the spread of Covid during the protests. If you watched protests you would see the protestors were wearing masks.

If you are comparing the BLM protests to a Trump rally, @MakingTheGrade said it best, it’s comparing apples to airplanes. How one can fail to see the difference is astounding.

SOME protestors wore masks ... where they were supposedly ‘mandated’ ... definitely not all, definitely not distancing ... definitely LOTS of shouting/spewing droplets ... lots of physical contact with strangers ...

Meanwhile, I have yet to read where anyone has said masks were banned and/or no one would be allowed to wear a mask at a Trump rally or convention if they choose to do so.

Yep. I saw almost everyone masked during the FLoyd protests. Rallies and open the state protests? Not so much.

Thanks, that's handy. Though I go back and forth between wanting to see which state has had the most total, and which state has the most new cases.

I think it’s absolutely hilarious that he’s having rally attendees sign a waiver that says they won’t sue him if they catch covid. Why would that even be a problem if masks and social distancing are the problem in this big ol’ freedom stealing hoax
