Happy new week all from the land of - you guessed it - pantsy weather
I was sitting here trying to plan out this week's thread when Hubby who is off work this week gave me great inspiration!
He is hobbling around with a huge bruise on the inside of his upper leg, suffering from a pulled muscle!
He was playing soccer, and didn't properly prepare for exercise, and dived in to play and hurt himself by doing the splits in the mud.
So watching him shuffle around groaning, I thought is a good reminder to try to prepare for exercise as best you can, and also try to match the activity to your capabilities and current fitness levels. There are no guarantees of course, but taking a little time to stretch out and warm up may help prevent injury, especially if like him, you have taken a break from working out. Poor Hubby has been in agony, and I thought it was just worth mentioning how easily injuries can happen, so just take a little time people to warm up properly.
Everyone is doing so well - great job WWTers!
I am trying out an hour every other day for my workouts at the moment , as I felt as if I was just trotting on like a well trained horse, this way I am noticing the desirable aches in my legs from my workouts! Thanks for that inspiration Mara! I needed a shake up and realized I no longer feel it after my workouts, so I needed to mix it up a bit.
