I just wanted to share the jewellery I wore for my wedding and also the pieces I received from relatives as gifts during the traditional tea ceremony. It''s Chinese tradition for newlywed couples to serve their older relatives tea. The relatives then gift the couple a red packet of money and a piece of gold jewellery. I think my aunties have pretty good taste in jewellery - they got me some gorgeous pieces!

First up is my wedding necklace. It''s 3+ carats, made up of brilliant and princess cut diamonds. My cat was lazing around in the sun, so I took the opportunity to ''model'' the necklace on him

Bangle made up of baguette and round diamonds. Not sure of total ct weight. It''s a bit too big. I have to wear it in the middle of my arm...

Checkerboard cut blue topaz earrings. I like the unique setting - looks like a diamond halo but it''s really just white gold.

And my ering had to say hello. She was so excited that it''s finally sunny again in Melbourne that she had to show off a bit. She''s feeling lonely because my wedding band is being re-modelled.

Wow! Your aunties definitely have great taste in jewelry! I wish I was as lucky as you during my tea ceremony.

I am thankful for all the yellow gold I got. I just won't ever wear them. Everything looks beautiful!

I received all yellow gold jewelry. They are pretty, just not my taste and not something I'd wear often. Hope you don't mind me sharing. Here are a few pictures.
