Wedding band and engagement ring look mismatched?

I love your set and prefer that it's not matchy! I wear this stack a lot and I get tons of compliments when I do. The gold band is 5mm and the knife edge pave is 2mm. It's not matchy look but it flows. A simple thin pave band would look great between your two.

A spacer ring is a great idea, I think a bit of a gap between the diamond and the wedding ring will make the diamond more notifiable.

I'm waiting to hear from the jeweler about the outcome of flattening the band a bit and thinning the platinum rails. They dont think it should be a problem.

Once we get the wedding rings in a few weeks I'll see if the height still bugs me and play around with a few spacers to see how it looks .

I wouldn't change either ring, but *I* am not a fan of the combo. I don't know what you do for work, but I actually don't wear my "real" set on a daily basis due to my job and fear of damaging it, so I ordered a different, thicker band for daily wear. You might end up wanting to just wear the band alone, in which case I think it's a perfect thickness.

Drill the mokume band, install a peg head, and wear it as a one-piece bridal? Or add a thin gold band on each side of it, as an actual ring guard, or like a ring guard look? Or go for a more contemporary look?

Any chance you could put your wedding band in between two beautiful diamond bands that would make your e-ring pop and make it look like one bigger ring?

I think your set is beautiful, however the wedding band takes away from your engagement ring from a far. What I mean is that if you just glance at your hands, your wedding band stands out. But if I stare, the rings look nice together. However, this might just be my personal preference, as I do not wear my wedding band and e-ring together. I wear my e-ring on my left and WB on my right hand. Or I wear my WB on my left hand by its self.

So we have finally gotten the finished rings from the jeweller. I ended up asking the jeweller to take off a bit of height and thin the platinum rails. I really love the results, I think the final ring fits a lot better with my e-ring. The wedding ring is still a bit bigger but I think the two look a lot more balanced now.

Thank you all for your extremely kind comments. I certainly will look forward to wearing this set, although we're not getting married until July so it's going to be stuck in a box for a few months...
I'll just have to make do with the pictures I took in the meantime.

This is a bit off topic but in case anyone is interested, I thought I should also share a picture of a pendant that the jeweller made for us using the same billet that our rings came from.

We commissioned it as a thank you present for my future mother in law who is helping us with a lot (all) of the arrangements for our wedding.

It looks way better now, call me different but I'd actually get another band that is relatively thick but a different width and stack it on the other side of your diamond ring too that way you have three and can mix and match and stack them.
