Moreover, the GIA inscription also includes “H&A”. The vendor was able to provide ASET and Ideal scope images for one of the diamonds via their online chat and both looked phenomenal! In any case, as I saved these particular stones as recommendations for future PS inquiries, I noticed that the GIA report links were directing to the same domain, specifically pkstone.co.in. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find much information about the business as their website required login credentials. Still, it got me thinking that as a community, with our aggregated sleuthing abilities, maybe we can compile a list of reputable cutting houses that supply virtual stock of ideal/super-ideal stones to online and B&M retail vendors so that consumers can help direct their jewelers not only on PS recommended specs, but best sources for virtual inventory. Btw, the particular diamond above was already spoken for (bummer).

I think this is a great idea. Cutting out the drop shipper middleman.

However, this isn't for the faint of heart, as it's unlikely companies in India will have such generous return policies (not to mention upgrade policies) as most people are used to.

One comment - the fact that the GIA inscription states H&A means that someone somewhere had it engraved with those characters. GIA is in no way endorsing the H&A claim, just notating that it appears on the diamond.

I thought that the idea from @Athena10X was to help direct local Jewelers to cutting houses that tend to have good options (for ppl who don't want to or can't use PS vendors). Not to buy from any of these places directly.

Oh got it. In that case my opinion is that if your jeweler can't figure out where to source their own inventory and needs the consumer to tell them, then you probably shouldn't be working with that particular jeweler (unless it's just as a good/cheap bench). Jewelers should have access to this thing called RapNet, which is much more comprehensive than anything consumers have access to. Almost all of these Indian suppliers are on RapNet.

For the average consumer, I’d agree with you, but some of us more prudent or critical buyers, having this additional insight is a boon because even if these diamonds are on RapNet, I’ve learned that not all vendors/retailers have access to all diamond houses in the listing. Moreover, I may help the vendor narrow their focus even further if the origin/diamond house is listed on RapNet. This approach could also allow for more consistency in cut for comparing stones. Obviously not everyone will agree with my line of thought.

Good to know! Thank you.
