Why can’t I find this necklace when I go a reverse image? Why can’t I find out more about it? It is stamped GCJ—- which stands for George Carter Jessop, a fine jeweler. It is stamped 14k. My question is: are the Murano ball tips made of gold as well? It weighs close to 12 grams! The price does not add up!!

Plated?

You mean the balls?

I was wondering if just the chain was 14k and the rest of the gold items plated. If the price tag is $190 and not more but obscured by the piece, I don't see how the whole thing could be 14k. Where is the 14k mark?

It’s on the clasp. The hallmark is stamped by a fine jeweler which is what makes me wonder if it is all gold.

Well, being on the clasp of course means the chain is gold. As for the rest of the piece, I guess I'd go by the mantra that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. But I certainly have no idea otherwise. I hope someone else can give you more information.

I can take it to my bench. I am just shocked that I can’t reverse image it!

I tried to do that as well, but no luck either. I'll be interested to hear what your bench says. If its all gold, it sure was a steal at that price.

I would not be surprised given the source who sells it to me. She sells for a non profit and sells with no guarantee or refund but I have always done well when buying from her.
