RetroTreeGal & Lovinggems: the setting is actually the Emilya with indeed a kite oriented cushion halo. The look is so different because of this orientation and a colored stone as a center.

Usually I prefer settings with cathedrals. This setting is the version without the cathedral. Because of the depth of the stone I had wondered whether it would work. I must say I love the look. The setting just flows.
Beforehand I did not even know what the gallery and donut would look like. I trusted Victor to make the right decisions. The diamonds on the stems and donut were a huge surprise. The gallery is what you see mostly when you look at your own ring. I love it 'all over detailing' when a ring looks good from every angle and is pleasant to look at for other, but mostly for yourself

You are so right. I am not a halo person at all. But I happily make an exception to that rule I just have a huge weak spot for Victor's halos. I have two halo's from him now and I love the look.
