Vacation CZ

Hello! I ordered a CZ for my upcoming international trip to Barbados. I go every year and feel 100% safe there but I end up worrying about my diamond too much. Therefore, I have decided to wear a fake. I just got it and I have never worn a CZ before. How fake does this look? Alone in one pic and next to my real one in other. Obviously there is a difference. Just curious.... thanks .

In the alone picture it looks good. In the combo pic, it appears tilted so i can’t make a fair comparison.

No one will notice but it’s a big size for not wanting to draw attention.

It isn’t because I feel unsafe or not wanting to draw attention. I just get nervous in the water etc.

This is just MY TWO CENTS. Your travel jewelry stones should be smaller and less "attention grabbing" than the real deal because you don't want to draw unwanted attention (such as getting mugged or your hotel room broken into for CZ). In most 3rd world countries (where it is not the norm for people to wear diamonds daily) a criminal would not be able to tell a CZ ring from the real deal, and it is not worth getting your finger lobbed off for a CZ.

I travel a fair bit outside of the US, so I have a set of travel jewelry made of CZ and Sterling silver. Rings, pendant, earring...they are all smaller stones than the real diamonds which I leave at home. I just want a little bling so I won't feel completely naked.

I have a condo in Barbados that we feel very safe in. We go every year. I just get worried about swimming etc. I totally get what you are saying though! Maybe it is a tad too large. Good advice.

When I travel I wear a plain gold wedder. I love it's simplicity, it's secure in the water and highlights that I'm married without being that attractive to thieves.

If you don't own a plain band, it's another option. You could even look at something engraved.

I wouldn’t go with anything that looks big or flashy whether it is real or not or a travel ring. If the wrong person sees it, you risk being mugged. I mean, that is just as likely in USA as anywhere but at least you are in familiar surroundings and know where to get help quickly. Another thing to consider is - where is your real ring when toy travel? Your home is a lot more likely to be broken in to while you are gone.
