Hi all,
Another thread on the SMTR forum got me concerned about the long-term viability of my wedding set. I have a shared-prong wedding set from Signed Pieces. Before I ordered the rings, I asked whether there is any problem with the girdles of the diamonds rubbing against one another. They said it shouldn't be a problem. But I've never been entirely convinced. Tell me what you guys think. There is a small space between e-ring and w-ring at the top, but there is no space at the bottom. This means that the girdles of the diamonds are rubbing against each other on the bottom, and at the top, they are rubbing against the platinum head. I'm worried that over time the diamonds will be seriously damaged and/or they will eat into the prongs of my center stone. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
