Hello,

I hope everyone is well. I am humbly hoping for and asking for assistance in deciding between emerald diamonds for the center stone of an engagement ring. I had another thread, but think I jacked it up. So, hoping starting anew helps.

Stone 1: 1.34ct, F, FL https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/emerald-cut/1.34-carat-f-color-fl-clarity-sku-6121026
Link will said sold becuase I have it held.

Would appreciate any feedback you would be willing to offer. Thanks.

First one...no doubt about it...Look at those flash and light reflection transitions when the diamond is on rotation...:geek2::geek2::geek2:

My vote is for the first one, there's a lot more going on in the middle part of the ice rink (emerald cuts are like flawless ice skating rinks!)

Thanks clcat! I thought the same thing. But, trusting my eyes is always a challenge!
Thanks so much!

Thanks LinSF! Was thinking the same. Be interested to see others thoughts.

I recently bought my asscher/sq. emerald after seeming a real live video of the ring. On the paper, mine will not stand out (J, VS1, G symmetry, and VG polish). However, it appeared with elegant brilliance and firy sparkles.

When I went to see an appraiser in the heart of the NYC diamond district and worked with places including Harry Winston. He just said, my stone couldn't be cut better. I asked how, and he just said, the visual of the stone is so lustrous and after seeing millions of stones, he can just tell.

Guess that reinforced the idea "when you see it, you know". ;)2
