I find it entertaining that you find it entertaining that it's entertaining Blah blah. none the less you have zero credibility with me since your retort are just blah blah blah with no intelligent info. yawn.

I find it entertaining that you find it entertaining.
I like entertaining people.

ok kewl, I will call the Chicago police and tell them they are looking for all the wrong people according to someone online.

Who's committing all of these mass shootings, Karl? Seems to me they're nearly all young white males. I don't know what Chicago has to do with the rest of the country and all the mass shootings committed by white supremacists.

The single word "racist" is not gonna win back the the Presidency for the Dems.

It is true that most mass shootings are committed by white males, but on the other hand according to 2016 FBI Violent Crime Statistics...

If we take a look at the number of violent crimes committed by blacks we can see they committed 153,341 of the 408,873 violent crimes, which is 37% of the violent crimes. If blacks make up 13% of the population they should only be committing 13% of the crimes, instead, they are committing crimes almost three times as many crimes as they should be.

No Trump is really not a Republican. Neither party is what they once were and all of them are in it for themselves rather than for the people who elected them.

I understand what you want to say, that many Republicans don’t share his newly proclaimed values. I don’t believe his newly found religiosity, either. Very skeptical about other family values.

But - he was elected by the Republican votes. He was nominated as the presidential candidate. The Republican Party 100% owns him.

Subterfuge doesn't play well with me. You didn't answer the question. Now I'm for Warren, feel free to call me Pocohontos :) as I have had my DNA done I do have .1% Native American in my background. I have always found the right wingers use ignoratio elenchi when they don't have a compelling argument.

From wiki:

Ignoratio Elenchi, according to Aristotle, is a fallacy which arises from "ignorance of the nature of refutation". In order to refute an assertion, Aristotle says we must prove its contradictory; the proof, consequently, of a proposition which stood in any other relation than that to the original, would be an ignoratio elenchi.

What's with the name calling?

Great point, as much as I really don't share all the values of Bernie, or Warren or Biden, if one of them becomes president the democratic party will have to own it. I personally don't understand how we can have single payer health care, but I'm willing to try.

This red part is totally true, this is why we have GOT to rid our country of white privilege, the inability for black Americans to be wholly integrated into society due to white privilege needs to end.

The country has seen the policies, tweets, the acts of cruelty and heard all the hateful remarks from this President to know exactly who he is. You can’t wrap up all this hate, put a shiny bow around it and believe anyone with an ounce of intelligence doesn’t see it for what it really is. Good people do not stand with racism.

The El Paso Shooter parroted all Trumps remarks in his manifesto. Trumps people were supposedly deleting many of Trumps tweets yesterday. Hmmmm I wonder why?

@Karl_K You are a grown **edited by moderator, language** man and your participation in this thread is childish, inane, and wholly unbecoming of a trade member. PS should ban you. I'll certainly NEVER buy an Octavia. Your beliefs are yours - either support them with facts/thoughts/opinions in a thoughtful way, or bow the hell out of the discourse. Good lord I'm embarrassed for you.

"If I don't like what you say, you shouldn't be able to say it" is authoritarian and fascist. Any member should be able to be as childish, or against the collective, as they wish within the TOS.

I hold trade members to a higher standard of behavior than normal posters. Also, he's not saying anything, he's baiting people - which is rude, childish, and unnecessary. Don't start with me Redwood.

Then don't buy from him, but you don't get to decide if he should be able to post.

Which is literally what I ****ing said. Sorry to burst your "put upon minority" attitude, but this isn't about going against the collective, it's about a trade member baiting posters regardless of the topic, which I think is an unbecoming trait and SHOULD be against PS TOS.

We'll have to disagree on it. Just because he is a trade member doesn't mean he can't have an opinion. It is his prerogative to deal with consequences of that opinion that is made public here. He's a grown man as you say so he can figure that out himself. If he called Trump or other Rs all the silly names we see here regularly would you be so upset? Or would that be fine because you agree with it?

Sorry but I really have a problem when someone decides who can speak and who can't.

You have completely missed the point and I'm not even going to waste time engaging with you. @Ella, I think Karl's comments in this thread are completely inappropriate and I urge PS admin to review the TOS for the way trade members interact with posters.

Redwood, you'll note that however dearly I would love to tell YOU to shut up, I have not - because I agree with you, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, trade members are not here as PS consumers, they are here as representatives for the products they are selling.

I have never wanted to tell anyone here to shut up so that is where we differ.

Oh there are many, many ways in which we differ, all of which I am 100% comfortable with.

Personal attacks are a huge no no as is telling people what they can and can't post.
There is nothing in the PS rules that says trade members cant discuss things in hangout.

I don’t think much of what @Karl_K has to say in regards to politics, but he has every right to say it within the TOS as it is written today. I find it useful to see the type of behavior a trade member is willing to engage in beyond business as it gives me a better sense of whether I would really want to do business with that person.

I think @liaerfbv made a point that should be given consideration by admins. I remember the kerfluffle here over the personal opinion of a vendor posted on his Facebook page. Some won't do business with him now and others don't let vendors' personal opinions affect their purchasing decisions. It seems more responsible and professional, imo, for vendors and their employees to stay within the confines of jewelry and not venture into non jewelry topics.

The only person that I see as "deplorable" is Trump himself. The fact he and for that matter the never ending debate on gun control divides all of you is testament to the fact that Trump himself is "winning" he might get re-elected because the left couldn't find enough in common to win states where people feel abandoned by the left, and Trump walked on water out of the political chaos and carnage to become the leader of the free world.

He wants to keep it that way, ie a divided country in chaos. As an outsider watching it, if this post is anything to go by, it's like watching a car crash for the second time you can predict it's going to happen but the people inside the car cannot get out of the way.

Everyone's views are important we will get further walking a mile in each others shoes (and that applies to both sides) than we will ever get by calling each other names.

Hasn't it tho? When we can't agree that any one person claiming an upcoming personal victory for curing childhood cancer (and let's not even get into the fact that there is OF COURSE more than one type and which type did he mean anyway) and HIV Aids is narcissistic, or that making masturbatory gestures on a public stage as a world leader is appalling - we have completely lost the plot.

Anyone so wedded to this guy that they can't roundly condemn such behavior without hesitation is talking with their eyes closed and their ears blocked.

As for the passive aggressive, purposely inflammatory, name-calling certain people have exhibited, all I can say is - political party aside - morality should be greater than party politics, and religious conviction as a guide to behavior should be deeper still. I agree we should be able to discuss politics on Pricescope, but we're clearly not capable of it without hurting each other and doing damage to what should be a fun forum.

Last political thread I ever start. I'll ask the mods to close this down. My apologies to all.

@mrs-b I don't think you should feel bad about putting up this thread. It is your opinion and discussion can be had. If PS is going to allow political threads then they are likely to get heated in discussion which should be ok. What is not ok is an attempt to silence anyone who remains within the boundaries of policies.

@mrs-b Count me mad as Hell on the cure claims ,( The polite ones are too common. I certainly have not gotten so down to thank deception for hope.

The rest ... ! I get it that so many want to be impolite & my taste for varnish stays.

Over & OUT indeed.

Honestly @redwood, could you please just block me and move on with your life? Just as you're entitled to your opinions, I'm also entitled to think that Karl is behaving like a jerk to posters while at the same time asking us to buy his shit. I don't appreciate that and called it to Ella's attention because I think it SHOULD BE against TOS. Is that clear enough for you? Please don't bother replying as I know you just assume I hate all Republicans, etc., which is wholly not the point I'm making.

I don't assume anything about you or think you need to keep quiet about your opinion. You can block me if you like. My life is going along just fine and nothing that happens on the internet will affect that one iota. :wavey: Have a wonderful day.

Just because we disagree on this should not be a reason to be rude or antagonistic.
