hi all
bought a stone which will arrive tomorrow.
here's some info i have. ring the alarm if anything looks fishy. the sarin was run by the seller, if it matters. one thing i wonder about is the difference between the number of arrows on h&a versus aset image...shouldnt there be the same number on both? its no problem to return if necessary. any and all opinions are welcome.20190617_202803.jpg 20190617_202836.jpg

No, not likely, b/c it was scanned by two different machines. Just be sure the #s on the girdle matches the GIA report #.

ok, but the two machines scanned the same diamond. the absence of arrows at 1:30 and 7:30 seem kinda odd, given the rest of the aset looks fairly legit. maybe it's a common image; but it's unlike any i've seen during self-study of LP imaging as a rook buyer

The ASET looks to be computer generated while the H&A images are of the actual stone. Ask the vendor for an ASET image. If they have one on file. I see that they have shipped the stone already.

Also look at the lower halves measurements. There is quite a variance. GIA rounds these numbers it is possible that the variations in the eight lower halves are affecting how those two “arrows” came out on the computer generated ASET.
