Hello everyone,
I'm going to propose to my girlfriend soon, never thought I'd see the day but it's here and I'm 100% certain. Instead of picking the ring myself and getting her something she would inevitably hate, I had her scour the stores of Los Angeles to find the one ring to rule them all and well, she found it, and it's a Tiffany Legacy.
I'm a working class guy, I could never afford even a less expensive Tiffany ring. I've been told by people though that with these name brand rings, you're paying a lot for the name anyways. So now I'm looking for a replica. I showed her pictures of similar rings, inspired designs etc. She is OK with them, but the closer they get to the original design, the happier she gets. She doesn't care that it isn't a Tiffany ring, but she LOVES that design, exactly, so I'm looking for the closest reproduction possible.
Where can I go from here? I'm a little scared of buying a ring(or having one made) without seeing it in person first, or at least meeting with someone face to face. I would really appreciate any advice. My budget isn't big, I'd like to keep it as far under 5 grand as I can while still getting an eye clear diamond, as close to 1 carat as possible, with the exact design she wants.
Thank you all, I deeply respect the knowledgeable and helpful people on these forums and I feel very grateful to have access to your assistance.
