Thoughts on Crown Jubilee diamonds?

Crown Jubilee.... They're fun, but tbh, I kind of hate that they are re-cutting our increasingly limited stock of original OEC and mine cut diamonds.

Does anyone have any more information about how they select which diamonds to re-cut? Are the only ones that need such extensive refurbishment that such a drastic change is necessary? The info on their site is super limited...

Also, from photos and videos I have seen, they seem darker than the original cuts? Does anyone have one and love it?

I briefly checked them out a couple years ago, and I thought they recut the stones that were chipped or were already wonky, but don’t quote me on that.

Never seen one in person, but from the videos I think they are really neat.

I think @Wewechew is right. I think they are pretty. I like how they look. I don't like how the pricing is not transparent though. If you go on the site, it's mostly ask the price. I hate that. Just put the price.

I have never seen them in person but I too have been very curious about them. JbG posted one a year or 2 ago that caught my interest. Since then I have seen few other jewelers post pictures but I am interested to hear how they look in person.
