Thoughts about this diamond please ...

First, that's a great rock. Have you asked JA for an ideal scope?

Is there a reason you want vvs1? Could save some money going down or go up in size

While the angles are complimentary, this stone has a shallow crown angle and it will exhibit more scintillation (white sparkle) vs fire (colored rainbow flashes).

I would also question the color as clarity selection. An F will still face very white and an eye-clean VS2 will still be eye-clean. By exploring other combinations, you will either be able to save money or select a larger stone.

Lastly, you don’t need to ask for an IS. The stone comes with AGS report which has an aset image. Nonetheless, the diamond is a NO for me.

Those are both great suggestions -
Thanks!

Thanks!!! I’ll definitely take that into consideration.

Dang... E Vvs, F vs in finer cut proportions. Making me drool here! If you have the money for it why not 8-) if I had the money and I'd be looking E vs1 tops and F SI1 minimum :Up_to_something2: exciting exciting times!

@kmoro - I've been admiring your .62ct diamond on SMTB. Is that a new diamond, or is that the one you hope to replace? I actually think it looks beautiful on you!

Good suggestions in this thread! I would (personally) go with the BGD or WF stones posted by @SimoneDi

Thank you! I love it too ... it is the one I’m looking to replace however .... would prefer something a bit bigger, but it will be hard for me to make a change, it really is lovely ... and D FL ... a little beauty ...

Do you have a copy of your cert you can post of the original stone? We can look at the proportions and gain a better understanding of your preferences, and maybe even target a stone similar to that.

Are you sure the stone is a D FL? I thought they certified them all as IF now? Either way, you would have superior vision if you could see inclusions in a VS2 stone (unless it was just a bad VS2). So you are likely safe at VS2+. The additional clarity is costing you lots of money and something you will never see without a microscope.

Similar thoughts on color. I absolutely love the higher color D/E/F stones but you need to understand very few people can actually see a difference in those shades, and again, each step up costs you money for something your eyes may not be able to appreciate.

Getting an F VS2 would likely make you just as happy, and allow you wiggle room to move up in size which your eyes WILL be able to see! That said, I understand Asian culture has a high focus on high color and clarity so if you are Asian this may not be acceptable to you. Otherwise, I would seriously consider it.

The main reason I am looking to exchange is the cut ... for example the 60% table. it is still a beautiful diamond that displays good fire. And while FL is lovely and I do have cultural reasons for seeking rarity and perfection, I would rather have a perfect cut than flawless clarity, especially given that VVS inclusions are so minute.

Thanks again!
