Did you put the stats in the HCA tool...https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

I can't read all the stats (my eyes are old) is should be under 2.0 to be ideal. I see the symmatry is good not excellent.

Also did you see an asset of the stone or did you see the stone or just paper....?

Finally you could have gone over a carat if you went to vs1 vs2 (no inclusions visible here on ps we even feel comfortable with eye clean s1i) and F is very expensive when G/H is fabulously white.

Just questions that we usually ask when someone asks what we think....Just because the stone is F IF doesn't mean it is ideally cut and will be brilliantely sparkly.

First open that link and plug in the numbers off the GIA certificate. :)

Although HCA is 0.7, it falls outside of the AGS000 box. I would be concerned about the Very Good Symmetry. You aim to have Excellent Cut, Excellent Polish and Symmetry (triple X). Personally, I'd rather go with a Signature Ideal Cut with a G VS1 combo than a E IF combo (unless there's sentimental significance, IF is really overkill, I have a VS1 and it's very eye and mind clean for me, G with excellent cut also is very white). Not sure how much you paid for the stone but with Sig Ideal Cut G VS1 combo you're likely to get more carat than the combo you chose.

The HCA score is good. The area of the chart it falls indicates it should have good fire. The OP stated in another post that E IF are the color and clarity they were wanting to buy. The proportions are close to a 60/60 diamond, so perhaps the make is not hearts & arrows but is still a nice looking diamond, not a true H&A pattern. If it doesn't pan out, just return it and look for another.

Good info!

Think its a good idea to take this one to the store after I buy it to compare it? That way it would be easier to have a side by side comparison as to the symmetry and cut.

Thank you,

The table/depth combo doesn't seem like it would have much fire but lots of white light. I didn't run the hca but another poster mentioned that it falls into the fire region of hca chart. Can you ask their rep for advice since the information is contradictory?
