Your job sounds super fun!!! I''d love to do that for a living! I don''t think I''d ever have one of those ''I hate my job'' moments. Your fiance is a cutie! So are your kitties!

Thanks joflier! I''ll pass your compliments along to my fiance and my kitties!

And my job is pretty darn fun!

So, I need some advice. I''ve been considering replacing my Buddha statue with an Obama statue, what do you think? I should probably buy some knee pads first, huh? BarackHusseinObamaRamaDingDong...repeat until completely enlightened.

you mean that you haven''t done this already?

Thing, trust me when I say the crush is mutual. You are freaking hilarious, I always love your posts. Besides, who else am I going to talk about Q-tip with? I just bought a $200 dress at Anthro, I NEVER do that! But DH gave his stamp of approval (what's wrong with him, he NEVER does that!).

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Hooray for mutual girl crushes!
9.gif

Your husband sounds like a keeper if he's giving a stamp of approval to a $200 dress! Guess that's why you married him, huh?
3.gif
Which dress did you get? Care to post a link?

I would definitely recommend replacing your Buddha statue with one of Obama immediately. So many magical things have happened to me since I started praying to Obama! I was blind before and now I see, my cats don't fight anymore, my fiance's leprosy has cleared up completely...you name it, Obama fixed it!
3.gif
And you already know the chant, so you're good to go!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Why, oh why did you make me go back to Anthro? They have new items up!! I just found a new dress I want!!!!!!!!
This was the dress I got: Latern's Glow Dress It looks pretty lame here, in fact I never gave it a second look on the web. But in person it was cute, and when I tried it on it was cuter!!

I seriously think something is wrong with DH to approve that purchase. Maybe I should get his head check? Then again I never spend that kind of money and he has bought a ton of music gear over the years so
25.gif

So ok, out with Buddha, in with Obama. I decided I would like a house, seems like a good time to start chanting.

Hey wait...I thought the chant was: OOOOOOOOOOObaaaaaaamapadmaoooohmmmmmmmmm..........

And ''twould appear that the tenets of your faith have been removed! Alas, alack!! I hope we don''t forget how to worship properly without the holy writ.

I thought as long as your heart and mind was completely devoted, you could chant anything that contained his holy name?!?!

And thanks for the compliments! I better not tell my fiance he''s got a bunch of hot ladies thinking he''s dreamy-he''ll get all conceited and leave me for one of you!

I love the name Oliver...if I ever pop out a boy that''s definitely on the list! Sounds like your son''s pretty glad you didn''t name him that, though!

Sorry, Moon! I''m kind of a master at making people spend money! My sister and my best friend always complain that I make them spend too much money when we go shopping together! That dress is gorgeous-I love the black under the white!

And hey-I want a house, too! Genius idea! I''m going to add that to my list of stuff to pray to Obama for!

I think I might be in the running for the Most Threads Deleted award! I bet Ali and Andrey get sick of reading all my reported posts!

And yes, darn you...darn you as I drool over Anthro!!! ohmigod, I found some killer shoes at sundancecatalog.com...have you been there? Not a fan of the clothes but love the jewelry, shoes and boots!

Hey Thing, are you able to post pics of some of the things you purchase for work? Also, I think I read every post but did you mention the name of the store you work for? It''s in NYC? I may have to go shopping if it''s cute stuff!

I love the Sundance catalog for exactly the same things! Funny! My best friend loves it even more than me-you two might have similar style. She absolutely LOVES Anthro-I think half of her wardrobe is from there!

I haven''t posted the name of my store...I''m a bit of a secret squirrel about that...sorry! Are you in the Facebook group for Pricescope? I don''t think so, but if you are, you could find me in there and my store''s on my FB page! I will glady post some of the stuff I buy, though! Let me start finding pics!

Okay, one of my favorite pair of jeans we have-super high waisted jeans by Ksubi. Was forced to buy a pair for myself!

I''m not on facebook, or myspace, or any of that stuff. I never had a reason to join because I live in gmail. Perhaps I will when things slow down around these parts and I get the time to really pay attention to it. I just realize it''s probably a good idea you didn''t post the store, you could end up with stalkers! lol. But hopefully I''ll find out eventually...(wait, that makes *me* sound like the stalker!!).

oh see I love low waist jeans! funny, i finally got my first pair of skinny jeans this year just so i could stuff them inside my awesome boots. i''m not sure what my style is...i like buttons i know that haha. so i''m into military style coats and boots...and i notice i''m a fan of things that look edwardian or equestrian. strange huh?

Here are a pair of my all time fave boots, DH got them for me last Xmas:

We also carry a lot of Free People, Michael Stars, Citizens of Humanity, Joe''s, J Brand, etc. I just posted a few of the more fun things that I love! Here''s a cute Free People dress off their website we have minus the weird black slip underneath. Free People always has to add 1 or 2 layers too many!

More Ksubi jeans I had to have for myself:

I'll take those in a dark wash. Must have dark wash!! I haven't worn a lighter wash in ages. Not sure why...of course, my wardrobe consists of mainly black, brown, olive, and grey.

The Free People dress, what are they thinking with that slip? Takes away from the dress!

ETA: Just went to their site and I like the dress above better in blue (slipless). I like a few of their dresses actually. Wait...what am I doing. Tis the season to buy for others!! GRRR

Those boots are FIERCE! I love equestrian stuff, too, but I don''t really wear it! Although I did order myself a pair of riding boots from Frye on Wednesday. We''ll see if I actually wear them, though! I''ll find a pic of them to post.

I used to be all low rise jeans all the time, but I like a mid rise now. I got used to wearing my Nudie jeans and they''re a unisex style so the rise is higher than most women''s jeans. So now when I try on low rise jeans I feel like my butt''s hanging out! (And it is not small!)

I''m pretty much all skinny jeans except for a few baggy pairs I''ve gotten recently. I''m feeling the baggy jean thing! I actually only have a few super high waisted jeans-they''re not very comfortable if you''re sitting down!

I actually am all dark jeans, too! I mostly wear super dark or black jeans. But these were so awesome I had to make an exception. Light jeans are definitely on the way back, but they''re just not as flattering as dark jeans, so I don''t know if they''ll really take off.

I mostly wear black and grey, myself. I''ve started getting a little wild and wearing some olive, though! And I don''t wear much brown lately. I go through stages-a few years ago I was all brown (shoes, bags, etc.) and now I''m all black!

Here they are-Frye Paige Tall Riding boot! I hope they come next week! They''re a little dressy for me but I think I can make them work! I was bad and ordered another pair of Frye boots, too...let me find them!

Ha! See, that''s what I thought. Super high waist would not be comfy sitting down. That''s what I do in the changing room when I try on jeans, sit. (Mostly to make sure my butt crack isn''t show, I HATE women that do that...like I need to see your thong!!). My butt isn''t small either...I mean, I''m no JLo/Beyonce, but it''s big enough to make sure it''s covered!

Frye, oh man, ok, so the boots i posted look very similar to boots by Frye. But they were $500 and I was extremely tempted to buy them, until I saw them in the store and noticed that they were made in China...wtf? I''m not paying $500 for made in China! Not to mention a lot of reviews said they weren''t that comfy. I came across the ones above by Miz Mooz and I loved them a lot more and the leather seemed like better quality. They were originally, about $250 or so but DH got them for $100!!! *dances* I am in love with them, they''re comfy. The heel is heavy and makes you want to kick people in the head (well, only mean people of course lol). I''m dying to see what you got from Frye. Anthro had some other button boots I wanted badly but they disappeared! They never mentioned the brand and I can''t find them anywhere!

Introduce some red occasionally. That''s how I started. Then I brought in burnt orange and yellow. I''m trying very hard not to be so dark all the time lol. I''m very proud of my white dress purchase considering I dirty white up so quickly. Oh dear...didn''t really think of that when I bought it.

ooh, I like those. And I need new flat black boots. I had a pair of Clarkes that just about died on me. I wore them to death for about 3 years. They weren''t that great in quality tho. I need to invest in some really good leather.

They look comfy, reminds me of the pair I have but without the zipper.

I thought those were Miz Mooz! My former coworker had a similar pair from a few years ago, but hers had covered buttons-they were a little more girly and a lot less fierce! She bought them in red, too!

$500 is pretty ridonkulous for some boots made in China! A lot of expensive stuff is like that, it seems. Including purses by my boy Marc Jacobs. The Marc by Marc ones are all made in China! And so are a bunch of other "luxury" handbags brands, like Goldenbleu! The Marc Jacobs Collection ones are made in Italy, but those are all over $1000!

I''m lucky because I''m getting the Frye boots with my discount...but if they were full price I probably wouldn''t be springing for them!

Hahaha-I actually just ordered a red top yesterday! And a forest green one!

I''m really trying to cut myself off from grey and black but it''s so hard! I love it! Plus no matter what I wear, I end up wearing a black leather jacket over it. But I''m trying to branch out!

Wha? Marc Jacobs made in China? I had no clue. I never pay attention to designers much...er well except Coach, I love them but then I never buy them LOL...I''m on the hunt for a classic black bag though. Another investment since I have to replace the cheapies every 2 years or so. I hate that. I want stuff that will last forever!!!

Miz Mooz is great, I''m so happy I found them. The boots ARE fierce! You feel like you can kick anyone''s ass in them, seriously. I desperately want to pair them with my skinny jeans and this sweater,

Me and a few co-workers have this joke that we''re challenging each other to wear color. We all where black and grey nearly every day, it''s so sad. If one of us manages a color we run around trying to show off because we''re so proud of ourselves lol.
