It''s pretty. Completely different from everything you looked at. But classic and beautiful.

It''s a nice blue colour and a pretty stone. Have you shown your GF the aqua or is she still expecting a pink stone?

That is a GORGEOUS cut! I love it!

Last one from Gary of my new Aquamarine will take pictures as soon as I get it
(note that this is much darker than normal according to Gary it was getting dark outside)

I wanted to see how it looked in someones hand so he took a picture of it on his wife''s hand =)

She knows, aqua and pink are her favorite colors, she picked this stone out herself over any RH stone or any other stone I could throw at her.

Gary cut this for me opon request and held it for me (I was the only one who knew about it)

Gary at Finewater? Or Gary at Dutton's?

wow.. lovely choice!

Thanks everyone it will be here in 3-4 days ;)
I''m glad I took my time and found something really great.
Also big thanks again to all those who tried to help me come to a decision and taught me more about what to look for!

very pretty, I am sure she will love it

Hmm...why are the first 2 pictures incredibly light toned but a deeper blue on the hand?

ETA
I see, he said it was darker than normal. My concern is that the aqua might be too light but at least it doesn't seem to show much gray.

Well I will have to see when it gets here, she loves the really light tone for some reason. So hopefully it won''t be an issue. However I do have a 10 day return period but I never return things anyways..

My problem is that I return more than I keep, ugh!! If I had all that $$$ I spent on shipping costs, I''d be able to buy out Laurence Graff. I hope she likes it, keep us posted.

All that matters is that she likes it. Like others, I am kind of surprised to see this stone purchased when compared to the other gorgeous options. However, I like pastel pink stones too .. I just bought a light pink stone from Barry.

Pretty color-what will you set it in?

Pretty color-what will you set it in?
14 or 18kt WG

Do you or FI have a setting in mind?

Very pretty! I actually prefer the color of the first pic. I like aquas to be a pale blue so you can really see the faceting. For some reason, I think aquas facets are soo beautiful, probably because of how clean they are.

Congrats!!

Well I was going for a simple tiffany 4 prong, but I might get something nicer or more unique since I got such a normal cut.

Any ideas?

Sounds pretty to me! Has she ever mentioned anything specific?

She has not told me anything specific but I''m good at picking settings.
It has to be WG (yg and silver both give her a bad rash)
It has to be thin also.
I like frekes settings ( not covered in diamonds just simple and perfect )

May I suggest this setting - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350208614968. He has it up for bidding sometimes and I got it for $120. It is a very delicate and simple setting. The band is very slim and is as delicate as my friend's T&CO novo ering. He should be able to remake the setting to fit your stone. Lan.Bo4 is very good about remaking and customizing settings. I won a setting from him for $100 and he is charging me another $100 to almost completely change the design.
