Oh, no, the specs of the stone are: 2.53, G, VS1. Table 55.9, crown 34.8, pavilion 40.8 and depth of 61.5. I ran the higher crown angle by the two AGS experts and got the thumbs up from both - lol! Might as well utilize all experts in my decision - lol!
Congrats MGR! :appl: :love::love: .

Oh, good! I waited and watched for a long time for specs that I wanted. This stone was a bit larger than I envisioned having but I hope I love it too!
About 8.77mm? . The stone will look great on my finger!...

I know you took pictures but I honestly did not see them. I'm fine with you posting them if you want to. The ring won't be delivered until May 30 so it might be good to have something to tide me over with until then.
Too bad it won't be delivered to ME. That would make a great 40th birthday distraction.

Here are some pictures of the great things the goodie bag had to offer.

Too bad Matthew Mcconaughey never made it and bring his door prize. ;-)

Thanks to Whiteflash again for all the help in making this a success.

I hope to announce the next one soon.

For those of you not lucky enough to get your own signed print copy, Al Gilbertson has made his excellent history of the American Ideal Cut available here as a free download:

Highly recommended!

Thank you very much, psadmin and Texas Leaguer!

I hate the fact that I live so close but could not be there, but want to say thank you to whiteflash for putting it on and YAAAAAS I got to see pictures! :appl: I also got a little package in the mail, its very sweet!

Too much happened all at once for me this year. Can I ask how much notice for the next one? Thankfully no one graduating next year but I do have to schedule time because of my work schedule.

Our goal is to have the next one in NY and LA. No particular order.

We will try to give at least 2 months notice. :D

It would help a lot to have more than two months notice in regard to getting plane tickets and hotel rooms in advance. That said, a NYC trip that coincided with the fall antique jewelry show would be quite fun! :bigsmile:
