Thanks but I too know very little. I''m lucky if I can get out of the house with clothes on, let alone clothes that match. I do know, however, that when wearing a particularly gorgeous accessory like those shoes one should tone down the rest of their outfit to highlight the accessory.

Yes, especially in the Northeast where I am....It does keep the girls perky though.

Do the heels light up. DH has a cousin who wore lucite heels to their other cousin''s wedding and the best part? The heels lit up like a little kid''s sneakers!!! This was before my time, but I pee a little laughing every time I hear the story.

I am AWFUL at shoes. I''ve just got a few pairs at home and really need to get new ones. (the pair I wear for snow or walking or working in the garden or camping or pretty much anything my other pair won''t work for is the same pair I bought for 9th grade marching band -- 1999? -- and have been wearing ever since)

I get into the store and just don''t know where to start.

man your marching shoes have traction?! i was jipped!

Shoes for marching band practice. We were able to wear any sneaker that wouldn''t mark the gym floor. The only requirement (other than not marking the floor) was a rounded toe.

Shoes for performances were part of the uniform. The ones I was assigned were about 2 sizes too small and had NO traction at all. (really fun in the ice & mud)

ahh, we had to buy our show shoes and yes those are fun in mud. for practice we could wear whatever, but we practiced on blacktop for two to four hours a day after school and for 3 8-5 weeks over the summer so my shoes lasted a season.
