Oh ok, I saw messages where she was talking about how she lives with her Fiancée and so that seems engaged.

Anyhow Nebe has not posted since April and dream girl May, and a lot can happen in 7 - 8 months, so I vote we do a shout out and then a vote, if the girls on the top 10 just disappear off the face of the earth no one else will ever make the top 10 . I would guess they stop posting cos they stopped being a lady in waiting. Not to mention its a bit disappointing that they have stopped contributing to the LIW community.

Yeah, I think they were unofficially engaged and planning to be married soon but were waiting on an official proposal, but now they're postponing: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/postponing-a-wedding.153498/#p2791914. I'm not sure if she wants to be kept on the list for now. I'm sure they'll be engaged very soon.

So today was my birthday and right at 12:00am he came over to me and lead me into the bedroom with candles and sat beside me on the bed.. he grabbed my hands and gave me those puppy dog eye... saying how much he loved me, how I was the love of his life, and how we wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and how he is so excited to go on this world adventure with me.... he got all teary eyed and my heart almost jumped out of my chest.. and then he sang me happy birthday.. and that was it.... *sigh*

On a sadder note: I found out my SO had planned on proposing on NYE but now he's not going to! I think the reason is bc I think his little brother might propose to his gf because they are finishing up the house they bought to fix up AND he just got back from a 6 month trip AND they've been together almost 7 years. So I think his brother told my SO when he was going to propose and I think it was near this time, so Richard had to wait so they have their time and I think mine will be on Valentines Day!

So, I'm disappointed that I won't have my ring to tell everyone over the holidays...but I'll probably have it for Valentines day! And we are going to Houston in late Jan (where I'm from and where we met) just 2 weeks or so before our 1 year anniversary ...I was kinda hoping it would be on our anniversary so that way we could go to our first date restaurant and do it all over again! Oh well!

I would like to join the list. Here's my story.......

I'm 28, bf is 27. We have been together 5 years (it will be 6 on 1/1/11). I have a full time job, and am in community college with hopes of graduating in the spring of 2011. He works part time, no college (he's taken some classes, but that's about it). We both live at home, since the economy is crap, and neither of us can afford to live on our own (obviously).

I hate living at home, but all my friends have moved/gotten engaged/married/had kids, etc... so getting a place with a roommate won't be happening. I refuse to get a place with my boyfriend because 1- I make more money than he does right now, and I don't think it's fair that I pay for the majority of the expenses (rent, utilities, etc). 2- I refuse to move in with him unless he proposes. I have experienced that situation and it blew up in my face.

I moved in with my bf (now ex), and it did not work out. After living with him for two years, with promises of saving money to get our own place, yadda yadda yadda, I ended up leaving him, and moving back home. I was so disappointed for investing so much time into a four year relationship, and vowed I wouldn't do that again. (Yet, here I am!)

So, here I sit.... waiting, waiting, waiting. I know that a ring is nowhere in my future, unless my bf has been working his butt off and saving money, which I doubt. We don't really talk about the future, except in small tidbits here and there. He has mentioned several times that he wants to be financially stable. Yet, he hasn't clearly defined that for me.

At my age, it is so hard to watch all these couples getting engaged, and I feel like I'm stuck in the mud, spinning my wheels. My younger sister got married at 17, and is still happily married 8 years later. I am constantly bombarded with "so when are you getting hitched?" etc, etc...

Phew! Well, I guess that's the basic stuff.
